I could not for the life of me find a thread for people who were going to be going to Houston in the fall, so here we go.
I was going out for the fast track 2009 in Dallas, got denied and put back in the fall applicant pool, then BAM:D, got hit with the shocker last night when I got home from work that I had been accepted to the regular BSN program in Houston.
I'm really excited to start a new chapter and I thought this would be a good way to meet other members of the class before we get there. So shout out where you're from and your background so we can all get to know each other before August!
(P.S.- I've also been accepted to the community college in my hometown, which is closer, cheaper, and probably going to be easier, but I think it would be borderline offensive to turn down such an awesome offer, let me know what you think)
yeah thnx nhoward, you've Been really helpful with all the info. I have to make an appt with a dr. To sign off on my shots abc I have to mail the drug test/ background check sheet tomorrow. Does anyone know if we are going to have to wear uniforms all the time??
You are right. If your record is signed then you're good. I just read that again. I'm just going to the doc to have her fill out the form nicely because i have records all over the place. I have like 7 sheets of immunization records.
I'm thinking about waiting to sign up for the drug test until I get back from New Mexico...I'd really hate for them to call while I'm gone and have to reschedule and all that jazz. Packet came in though! Laura, I would definitely call if it's not in tomorrow. And yea Nicole, I've got all sorts of running around to do for my immunizations, all part of the fun of this whole thing though right? :)
My are on my transcript and there is some lil signature thing on it so I'm hoping this is enough. I don't have insurance so I would have to pay like 120 to get a signature. How early I'd everyone coming into town in aug?? I have a bday in aug and wanted to know if everyone would like to get together and do something
ok so wait my mom found my records all on one page its a copy... i had my Tb and PPD done in 88 and 99 lol damn i have to get it done then right?
and it says i never got my varicella; the doc wrote i had illness at age 6-7 lol but it shows i took two hep a shots.. wth? so i would have to do varicella again?

I don't think you have to drive to houston to take the drug test. It asks for an address when you register so i'm sure they choose one closest to you.
