I could not for the life of me find a thread for people who were going to be going to Houston in the fall, so here we go.
I was going out for the fast track 2009 in Dallas, got denied and put back in the fall applicant pool, then BAM:D, got hit with the shocker last night when I got home from work that I had been accepted to the regular BSN program in Houston.
I'm really excited to start a new chapter and I thought this would be a good way to meet other members of the class before we get there. So shout out where you're from and your background so we can all get to know each other before August!
(P.S.- I've also been accepted to the community college in my hometown, which is closer, cheaper, and probably going to be easier, but I think it would be borderline offensive to turn down such an awesome offer, let me know what you think)
nhoward as soon as you get some info for the houston campus let me know because i want to take patho too....i get back from work at 7pm...so ill get on here again around that time...also, did you reset your start time like other people said we should???
Reset your start time for what? I didn't understand that. What are we resetting it to?
I found the class on portal, it says department permission required for registration, which is why i'm calling. It says there are 120 slots available and no one is enrolled.
eamaya post 335---i think it might have something to do that our start date isnt unitl august so if we wanted to start in the summer...we would need someone to change that info...not really sure thats why i'm asking.....
Oh Ok. Yeah I'm going to call and find out. I think what they are going to do is give us the option to register for the class at our advisement session in may.
hi guys! im down on takin the patho class for summer,it still doesnt show up on my portal. i was going to call as well, i was going to call sherin, she is reallly helpful, i met her in persn as well.
the cpr class if i can do it before our advisement, i might as well get it done, cause i think its going to be the same thing during advisement, we might just have to sign up that day and all that
as far as changing that start day, what she means is that in order for us to pick classes we have go be enrolled for that semester.. we all applied for the fall 2009 semester, so we wont be able to choose summer classes, so we have to contact that lady and give her info and just hope for an email back from her
7137942146 sherin! ok she told me that houston campus students cant register for summer classes in houston, you can only do it in denton either face to face or online, but for that you would have to contact them
Alright, just got off the phone with deep throat (my inside contact at TWU) lol If you're going to try and take a class during the Summer, whether it be Houston or Denton, here's what we do: send an email to [email protected] with your name, ID, and a request to change your registration date from fall 09 to maymester 09, then wait until April 15th or 16th (whenever juniors can register for classes), find the appropriate class at the appropriate campus and register! Hope this helps everyone
