TWU Houston Fall 2009

Published

I could not for the life of me find a thread for people who were going to be going to Houston in the fall, so here we go.

I was going out for the fast track 2009 in Dallas, got denied and put back in the fall applicant pool, then BAM:D, got hit with the shocker last night when I got home from work that I had been accepted to the regular BSN program in Houston.

I'm really excited to start a new chapter and I thought this would be a good way to meet other members of the class before we get there. So shout out where you're from and your background so we can all get to know each other before August!

(P.S.- I've also been accepted to the community college in my hometown, which is closer, cheaper, and probably going to be easier, but I think it would be borderline offensive to turn down such an awesome offer, let me know what you think)

Yeah everyone up in N. Texas will probably be getting theirs on monday or tuesday.

the 300 is if you decide to do the TSNA thing and get cpr, and plus the outfits, and whatever else there is. It's really not that bad of a price.

Hey guys on my way home from being out of town, can't wait to get home and open my packet, I should be home around 9pm. Do people know what they r going to do for patho in the summer or when we can meet with an advisor?

Specializes in NICU.

Hey everyone I just got back into houston. I guess I will get my dad to mail me my packet when it comes

Specializes in SICU/CVICU.

So if I already am CPR certified, should I not worry about that? How was everyone's weekend?

Yeah if you have cpr already , me 2, then it saves u like 30 or 40 dollars.

nhoward, i finished my registration for drug screening as well. Don't worry, it says it will contact for location and time when they process your order. It was like 45 bucks and it should also email you a receipt

Ok cool. I hope they contact us soon!

quick question on the CPR, i was thinkin about doing it somewhere else cause i think redcross charges like 25 dollars or so. does it matter which CPR?

according to the packet, it should should be the one from the American Heart Association. I think I already have that one.
