Hello! I got accepted into TWU-Houston for the Fall 2006. I was just wondering who else got accepted and will be attending?

i got accepted today, and i will be attending. it was my first choice. so much so, that it was the only school i applied to!!
i thought about twu too, since it is an excellent school, but when i visited the campus, the reception was cold and confused. it just rubbed me the wrong way, and i left feeling like they were projecting an attitude of "we don't need you...there will be plenty more like you". i mean...i know that is TRUE, but it doesn't make it cool to treat people like that. my dealings with ut-h have always been much better, and the people that i've directly interfaced with have been absolutely wonderful. plus, i have some friends already attending, and they love it. best of luck, and try not to stress the decision btwn the two. they're both great schools...you can't go wrong! pick the one with the best clinical uniforms!!! :chuckle
Wait..so will you be attending TWU or UT?
LAF! whoops! i guess i did leave that part out. ut. i only applied to ut.
Oh ok haha! Gosh, I'm so torn here..I do not know which school to choose. You said you have some friends that go to UT-H right now? They like it? What do they wear? Haha
omg hahahahaha!!!!
i just realized that i replied to a twu thread!!! i was like "which school? hrm..."
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! DOH! i swear i need to take a break from my homework i guess...i'm fried!:roll :lol_hitti
i've actually never seen them dressed for clinicals, but they both insist that ut-h has the best uniforms.

The UT students that I have seen were wearing navy blue scrubs w/ a white lab jacket. Some schools make you wear all white scrubs. Blech!
good grief! all white? talk about a laundry nightmare!
You are good! UT and TWU! My goodness, if you get into UTMB also - just hand me your admission letter - OK? I neeeeeeeeeeed to get in somwhere! Can you do me a favor and let me in on your secret?
Take care,

Aussie,
I thought you had gotten into HBU's program. If not when do you find out about HBU ?

I still need to take some prereqs with them. They accepted me into the college; however, they want me to take another math class. If I do that, I might as well get the Christianity, Art & computer class out of the way. Then, technically, I still have to hope for the BSN program. Although, I hear, if you take classes there, you get first chance at the BSN program. I really can't afford them though. I got a letter from them the other day. Basically, based on 8 credits a quarter, I need around $18,000 a year! That's just tuition and books. OK, with a partial scholarship, subsidized and unsubsidized federal loans, and some work study, I STILL need $6,000 a year out of my own pocket. I am guessing I would not graduate for another three years. Yikes!!! I have to really think about it. Even if I can scrape up $6000 a year, I would have alot of loans to pay back. I'll probably try to get an appointment with the financial department and research my options. They are offering me $500 a quarter in work study. I have no idea how I could do work study, required stewardship time, classes, studying, my job at MD Anderson, and still have some time with my family. I guess its in God's hands now. I'm tired of the burden.

TWU wears a white top and maroon bottoms - not too bad.
