Hello, my name's Tien and I'm going to apply for TWU Houston Fall 14'. I noticed there's a topic for Dallas but none for Houston so I'm starting this one, hoping it will be a place for us hopeful applicants to come and share information.

BTW, my stats are: GPA 3.892, TEAS V 85.3%, 2/4 first attempt, and previous BA in Business. I'm scared b/c of my "1st attempt" since I see most that got in have 3 or 4/4 :nailbiting:...

So I get that the vaccines are due May 2nd but at the same time the packet said there will be immunizations available for us to get after advising so what is really due on May 2nd?

Welcome to some of the mixed messaging of TWU... They want you to have all of your shots/titers done by orientation (with records). However this isn't realistic, so they will have someone on campus to help with things like TB and missing vaccinations.

What I can tell you is this - START NOW. Get your titers if you don't have records, pull together your shot records, and if you need a series then get started on that too. You don't want to be that person that can't start clinical because they don't have their stuff together. And yes, that can happen.

If you need a complete list, let me know and I can get you one. I think they should have included it in letter they mailed out already. Or if you need a resource to get your shots/titers done on the cheap, I recommended a place a few pages back.

hi , this is balakisa , am applying to TWUN-houston in spring 2014 , could you please tell me your status when you apply , am kinda worry that i won't get acepted when i do apply , i have a C in A&P I , A in A&P II and A in microbiology and A in static , do i have any chance of getting in. this is my number 832-276-6785, i really need someone to talk to about this , i am sooo worry that i won't get acepted

My stats were

A for AP I, AP II, Chemistry, Micro, Statistics

Overall GPA 3.8

Teas V = 80%

Do the immunization a have to be recent or do you just have to bring your records to show you have had them? For example I had hepatitis A and B shots in high school does that count or it needs to be recent?

also what exactly are titers? I looked it up and it just says it's a measurement

Has anyone received info about background/drug test? I already paid the $45 online and have not gotten any info.

Titers is lab blood work done to make sure your body still have antibodies against that disease, even though you,ve had it in high school as long as the lab results indicate that your still positive should work I believe. Hope that helps :)

hopefully they will give us more info at the orientation next week!! but pretty much we haven't really paid any deposits. i imagine they will start asking for money may 2
