TWU Fast Track 2009

Published

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if there is anyone out there who will be applying to TWU fast track for 2009 (Dallas). I would love to compare notes and information. Good luck to everyone and I look forward to hearing from potential FAST TRACKERS! :yeah:

Hi~

I'm going to be applying to it. Right now all of the prereqs that I've completed are a history course and A&P I. I'm taking A&P II and psych right now (this summer has not been fun! :uhoh3:) I'm shooting for a 4.0 in all of my prereqs and so far so good but I still have a lot left to take this fall (micro, chem, nutrition, and stats). I haven't taken the NET yet, but I'm really good at tests and reading in particular so I think it should be okay.

By the way, have you ever attended a Fast Track Info Session? I've tried to go but they're always at times that are inconvenient for me.

I'm not sure how competitive it will be this coming year, but I can't afford to take my prereqs at TWU so I can't count on a +.4 boost to my GPA. Thus I'm just trying for a 4.0.

What about you?

Well, I HAD a 4.0, but A&P at TWU is tough. The professor that teaches it during the regular semesters teaches A & P I and II and is known to be tough. I have A's in everything else so far, but I'm counting on at least 2 B's. The good thing for me is that I will have done all my pre-reqs at TWU so I will get the .40 I took stats, nutrition, and developmental psyc. this summer, so that leaves micro and A&P II in the fall and I'll be ready to apply by Feb 1st. What is your bachelors degree in?

No, I've never seen a Fast track info session posted, so I've never attended one.

Specializes in NICU.

I too plan on applying to the Fast Track program for 2009. I just completed my last pre-req A&P II this spring. I plan to apply to the regular BSN program as well for the spring. I recently looked on there website and didn't see anything about a informational session for the fast track program. I've heard the program is very competitive but don't have any stats to back that up.

I'm applying to the 09 fast track program. I'm finishing up the last of the pre-reqs (bacteriology) at Brookhaven right now, and I've taken the NET.

Oh, and I'll have a 4.0, assuming I make an A in this class, which, I think, is likely to happen. I hope it's enough...can't really do much more, I guess.

I'm wondering if anyone has an idea when acceptance letters are mailed out for this. I also applied and haven't really heard anything since.
