TWU Fall 2018 Nursing Applicants

Published

Hey guys, I know it's a little early, however, I decided to start this thread as the application process will be soon upon us.

How are you studying for the TEAS?

Wishing all the best! :)

Good luck to everyone that's applying! :) I'm starting nursing school tomorrow at the Dallas campus so it wasn't too long ago that I was in your same shoes. I transferred in with no bumps and only had my Teas score and GPA to help me out. So if you're feeling like you won't get in because you don't have additional preference points, definitely don't feel that way! Just stay positive!

Good luck! And is it okay if I can ask what your total points were?

Just turned in my application. So nervous!!

I think it was like around 49.4 (or around that number)? 4.0 GPA and 86.6 on the Teas.

Nice!! I have a 4.0 and 80.7 for TEAS. Applied today. My total points are about 60. So nervous

Thank you for sharing! I scored an 82 on the TEAS. My score was around 50.4 points. Hope to hear some great news come March!

Just out of curiosity, how many points did you have on the spreadsheet?

That's great to hear!! Did you apply to the Dallas campus and Weekend/Evening program or to Houston? I applied to Dallas Weekend/evening last year and didn't get in with a 3.72 GPA and an 83.3 on TEAS with no bumps. This year I think my GPA is about 3.8 bc i re-took nutrition, and my TEAS is a 94.7 so I was feeling really confident about the TEAS but now that we're getting down to the wire, I've been getting so nervous that people with bumps but a lower TEAS score will get in over me. Its really nice to hear that you got in without the preference. Hopefully this is my year :)

Excellent. I've taken the TeAs twice so my last attempt I crammed studied. I am still in my senior year and had to really buckle down in my classes. I did have the bump because I will obtain a general studies degree this May. I walk across the stage. I applied to the weekend/evening post bachelor program.

So you get the bachelor bump even before you actually graduate, even though it will be after the deadline? I'm also applying for the weekend/evening program and I re-take my TEAS Fri (1/19) but I don't have either preferences

From what the advisor told me, you just need to be in the last semester. Good luck on your test!!!

I was told that it already had to be awarded and shown on transcript. I would recheck if I were you to just be safe.
