TWU Fall 2017 Nursing Applicants

Published

Hi all,

I've decided to go ahead and start this thread for those who are in the process of applying for the HIGHLY COMPETITIVE nursing program at TWU (FALL 2017) Feel free to share your STATS, questions, and good vibes as we're all here to get accepted!

I'm personally interested in the Night/weekend program since I already have a bachelor's degree and I just finished my TWU application (since TWU requires you submit a "new student" application first, then the Nursing application) I am planning on submitting my nursing application right after I hear back..

I also have not yet taken my TEAS, but am in the process of studying for it to take in a couple weeks!

How's everyone else doing?

Houston has that huge medical center of hospitals/schools... my BIL went to UT's nursing which they give interviews for their program. He said TWU's students looked the most stressed out- í ½í¸.... just another fyi.

Prob best u call to set up an Appt with one of TWU nursing advisors. Ashley in Dallas can call you if you live out of town (30 min appt).

Yea A&M does not have a nursing school in Houston. Prairie View is not associated with A&M. UTHealth has not done interviews for a long time. I think UTMB in Galveston still does a second round "interview" process. And part of being a nursing student is being stressed out, I think all schools experience that(not just twu). I'm trying to get myself ready for that lol

This comment is for DOSHI... good luck... my cell sucks

If we find out tomorrow could the people(I hope all of us) that get in post their scores and location. I know looking at prior feeds that helped me a lot when getting ready for my application and waiting. It was nice to see where I stand and what I need to work on :D

How many points did you apply to TWU with if you dont mind me asking. I have 41.33. im so nervous and scared lol .

I have almost the same amount as you.

My anxiety is so bad! Im soo nervous, I hope I get in. I know they say it's nearly impossible to get in with no bumps but cross finger for the few of us!

Hi future nurses, I am new to this forum. I would like to post my stats as a preference for all forum members:

TEAS: 89

Science: 94

Math: 90

English: 93

Reading: 79 ( in the beginning of the test, I was too nervous to do this section well)

Science GPA: 4.0

Overal GPA: 4.0

No TWU bump, no previous bachelor degree

Wish everyone best of luck tomorrow.

How many points do you have on excel? I don't have any bumps either so I am looking comfort in people with no bumps!

I applied for 3 programs (TWU, UTMB, and UTHealth) for fall 2017 and UTMB is the only school that does interviews. Still waiting to hear back from all of them :/ I had an interview with UTMB and they are delayed with responding back as well. That app was due Jan 15 :cat:

I also applied there as a backup school, but I still haven't heard anything back. Though I did hear they will still be scheduling interviews through April. I guess they all had a lot of applicants this year.
