Hi all,
I've decided to go ahead and start this thread for those who are in the process of applying for the HIGHLY COMPETITIVE nursing program at TWU (FALL 2017) Feel free to share your STATS, questions, and good vibes as we're all here to get accepted!
I'm personally interested in the Night/weekend program since I already have a bachelor's degree and I just finished my TWU application (since TWU requires you submit a "new student" application first, then the Nursing application) I am planning on submitting my nursing application right after I hear back..
I also have not yet taken my TEAS, but am in the process of studying for it to take in a couple weeks!
How's everyone else doing?
Does anyone know if the Dallas campus takes a lot of non-TWU students? I have a competetive GPA and TEAS score but I still feel even with that that my points aren't competitive enough without the preference bump. I'm from the DFW area and would ideally love to go to TWU but it seems highly unlikely at this point.
I really hope we know this Friday.... I just need to know what to do next. Keep working to retake classes.. or to keep working to save up money for nursing school.... even dragon ball-z doesn't have this much tension
lmao!!!
next time on TWU's application cycle, will letsgonurse finally find out if her previous attempts were successful?
I guess we can just power up while we wait.

im not sure about that but I DO know that if you're an honor student at TWU u have garunteed acceptance and most of them apply to dallas, and majority of people accepted at dallas have a preference (bachelors or TWU bump) or they are a honor student. Most people who get accepted without either of those have high high higggggh scores like 3.8 with at least an 87 on teas.

I'm getting excited as well! Hopefully we'll know if they are done with initial application processing. I also wonder if this is the week to give hopefuls a chance to reply about eligibility questions the nursing staff found.
edit: Excited is not the right word, I am more nervous than excited. Even if I get that rejection or wait list just not knowing is worse. I'm a serious planner, the sooner I know the sooner I can get started on plan B.
