TWU Dallas Campus Spring 2016 applicants

Hi! I didn't see a thread for Spring of 2016 applicants, so I created one.

My stats are

3.71 GPA (finishing up micro right now so that could change)

Take the TEAS on August 8th

No preferences

I am pretty sure the TEAS test will make or break me.

I had to reschedule mine so I'm taking it today at 1:30pm! I'm so nervous but I'm trying to stay calm & just trust that I know the material & I'll be fine.. Wish me luck guys!

Hey guys!

I took my TEAS yesterday & I just got my results & I'm proud to say I made an 84%! I swear I felt like I was bombing the test (especially the science portion) & was pretty bummed out walking out of the exam. But, I guess I was just psyching myself out! Here's a breakdown ..

Reading - 85.7%

Math - 93.3%

Science - 81.3%

English & Language - 76.7%

Overall - 84%

I've read from past threads that the TEAS average for the Dallas campus this past Fall semester was an 86%. I was aiming for an 86 & above but I'm happy with what I have. All we have to do now is wait .. The torture! 😭

That is still a pretty good score! And your GPA is great as well so you have that in your favor too!

Thank you! I know it's not the best but I'm just glad it's over with.

Are you guys taking any other classes this semester? I heard its good to keep yourself occupied with other classes while we wait.

I'm taking patho in Dallas.

Also attempting to CLEP out of History I.

Starting Govt class in 2 weeks and will take History II over winter minimester.

Oh and working full time.

Pretty sure I'll be staying plenty occupied while I wait. :)

That's great! I still have to take History I & Texas Government since I'm an out of state transfer student. 😓 otherwise I would've been done with my pre reqs.

What does it mean to "CLEP" out of a certain class?

I'm in Patho this semester (Dallas Campus) and am applying for Spring 2016 Dallas. Can anyone tell me if you get to choose your own professors for Spring? Or are you assigned?

Hello ladies, I just received my letter of acceptance this past week for the 2015 fall term which had to change it to Spring 2016. It'll be my first year, does anybody know when we will know the orientation dates ?

I have no idea on if we pick professors or not. That's a really good question lol. Something tells me that they will give us a list of classes we have to take for the semester & we get to pick what times/days/etc .. work best for us. Don't quote me on that though, try calling the school or emailing. They're usually pretty fast with replies!

Hi, I also applied for the Spring 2016 program at the Dallas campus!

GPA: 3.92

TEAS: 84.7% Overall (Math: 96.7, Reading: 88.1, English: 80.0, Science: 79.2)

No previous degree

No TWU Bump

Hey does anyone know if we have to finish all of our pre reqs before January? Or are we able to take some while in the nursing program?

All of the prerequisites have to be completed before January with the exception of the multicultural woman's study.
