Hello all!! Just wanted to start this feed for people apply for the August 2018 group to keep people posted on interviews and admissions! Hope everything is going great for everyone! :)
I had an in person interview. It was short and to the point. It was intense only because I was so nervous and wanting to do well. I was told to study CCRN questions. I did, but the questions were not that difficult. I described a patient I would care for and then they asked me details about that patient - basic physiology, treatments, what medications I would expect to give. I would suggest going in with good examples of what type of patient you care for, but only mention caring for a patient that you would feel confident describing in detail. On a few instances I wasn't sure what the interviewer was asking me. I took the opportunity to describe everything I could think of around the question until I gave them the answer they were looking for. In the end it was all straightforward. The interview was not long, so come with your A game. You don't have a long time to give a good impression. I was thankful for the short interview because I don't think my nerves could have taken much longer. Feel free to PM me.
Phew! That makes me feel a bit better. I've been cracking books for a bit most days, but honestly, I feel like it's all review and if they ask me about something I've never done... well that's that. Thanks for the info! What site did you interview for? Have you heard back yet?
