TWU CRNA 2018

Published

Hello all!! Just wanted to start this feed for people apply for the August 2018 group to keep people posted on interviews and admissions! Hope everything is going great for everyone! :)

I got my application in and completed July 11. No update to the status yet. I applied to TCU as well and received a letter of no interview from them a while back, hopefully TWU at least gives me an interview. My GRE was a total of 303 with a 4 on the writing portion, BSN GPA was 3.8, CCRN, PALS, ACLS, with one year of combined ICU CCU experience now, and one year PACU prior to transfer to the unit. I just got certified for balloon pumps and impella pumps. Hopefully this is strong enough. Good Luck to everyone else applying.

Hello all I also completed my application for TWU,TCU,LSU and a program on the east coast. So far have an interview for east coast school, got a denial from tcu and pending apps between tcu and lsu. I'm hoping to hear back soon! Just fair warning tcu heavily focuses on gre and scoring, they have made that very clear when I applied. Good luck to everyone keep us all posted if y'all hear anything! This whole process will be worth it when we all get accepted!

Hey Mike!

For clarification, do you mean TCU or TWU focuses on GRE and scoring? thanks in advance and good luck to everyone too! No updates from me either at this time from an application standpoint :)

Which TWU sites are everyone applying for?

for me just texas Wesleyan! no where else this application round. If I do not get in, next year I will apply more places is the plan!

I'm sorry my question was supposed to be stated different. I more so meant which sites for TWU you applied for?

oh! haha, I picked Alabama, Shreveport, and Harlingen in that order!

That's a nice variety! I had chosen the Denver sites and Baylor. I will be living in Denver permanently so it made sense. But, incase I did choose that I was open to any.

yes me too! I also put that I would be willing to go anywhere as well on my application.

Have any hints on what to study for the interview, if I get so lucky in getting one haha!

I was told that they will ask you questions based on what type of patients you see. If you have not dealt with something, they will not ask you about it, or simply say "I have not done that before" I come from a medicine ICU background, so I am expecting them to ask me stuff about sepsis and what to do about it and stuff. I have also heard to know medications and just the disease processes you see most on your unit! I plan on reviewing those topics and going over the CCRN stuff related to the stuff I see on my unit, hope it helps! :)

Yes applying for TWU to start in 2018. Not sure I will get in, but I will have combined pediatric CVICU ICU X7 years, SICU X1 year, CCRN, GRE 312, a couple of bad grades with a GRE 3.4. Hoping to get in, but thinking I may have to retake a class or two and reapply.
