TWU CRNA 2018

Published

Hello all!! Just wanted to start this feed for people apply for the August 2018 group to keep people posted on interviews and admissions! Hope everything is going great for everyone! :)

I called TWU last week and they said they won't be sending out interview invites until sometime late September and early October!

Thanks for the update, guess I'll be stressed longer haha. Mostly everyones stats are better than mine, so I'm planning for two back ups next month now.

I'm hoping to get an interview at Arrowhead in California, nearby my current home. I am not able to move away from here, so unfortunately I can't be flexible with any other clinical sites!!

Don't stress - I have a couple of C's in my grades, so I am pretty much expecting feedback that I will need to retake them! Most people have some week spots on the application. There are also the recommendations and the interview.

Golf thank you for the update and for calling TWU! I appreciate you doing that! now we know that we have about 6 weeks left to just sit here and wait! haha

I turned my application in a few weeks ago! Waiting to hear back :-)

oh! haha, I picked Alabama, Shreveport, and Harlingen in that order!

I just applied too and I picked Alexandria, Shreveport, then Alabama! I sent in my application for July 16th and says completed and received! I emailed the director and she said that people who are notified for interviews are notified around the end of September to early October.

Hey y'all! I am all applied for TWU 18 and waiting patiently. I applied to TCU but got the no go pretty quickly. That was kind of surprising (and terrifying) not at least getting an interview! I have been in Neuro ICU for 2 years and have my CCRN and taking my CMC soon. My GRE was 153 V and 148 Q. GPA was 3.2 in nursing school, sadly. I also took a gen Chem class to freshen. Good luck to all!!

Neuronurse24: Cannot believe you didn't even get an interview, especially having CCRN. Maybe they had enough applicants that they just cut off anyone under a certain GPA. I did not apply to TCU, but I am struggling with the same worries. I was a young, dumb student and have a 3.2 science GPA with a C in organic chemistry! I am going to wait for a rejection before retaking the class. I have a GRE 157 V and 155 Q so I can only hope that might help offset the low GPA!

caro cam we are opposite! I have a 3.5 Nursing GPA and some average GRE scores, wanna trade the GPA for the GRE? hehe

If only we could - I would surely trade...a high GPA is more impressive than a better GRE. At least I've heard...

Hey everyone, figured I'd introduce myself as I am applying this year too. I work at a Lvl 1 trauma center in the CTICU and have been there (only nursing job) for 2.5 years. I have my CCRN, 3.9 nursing school GPA, 321 GRE (160M, 161V, 4.0 writing). All that sounds pretty solid I think, but my big issue is that my original GPA from my first bachelors degree (I'm 36yo) was a 2.25 (had to throw in that extra 0.05). I'm hoping admissions will overlook my earlier grades, since I've mainly gotten A's since deciding on nursing, but we shall see. Good luck to everyone!
