Turned down offer, now change of heart???

Nurses General Nursing

I was offered a rn position in med/surg last week, but turned it down. Now, I have a change of heart. The reason, lower pay but sign-on bonus, hours I wanted, close to home and the manager/people seem pleasant. My question is, should I call the recruiter and express my renewed interest in the position if it is still available??? Any advise would be appreciated.:uhoh3: :imbar

Sure. Why not? What have you to lose? Be honest and upfront about having given it more thought and see what they have to say.

I would definately call the recruiter. It never hurts to ask for what you want. The worst that can happen is they say the job is no longer available to you, but this way you know.

Good luck.

Go for it!!! I'd call and tell them that after much consideration that I really would like the position if it's still available. Good luck!

Very true!

If you call & they say, "No"-well then you know and move on.

If they say, "Yes"-well then you do a happy dance!

If you never call-then you will never know.

Good luck and let us know what happens!

Call, it would probably save them the time of having to interview another person...

If I were a recruiter, I'd rather have someone say no and reconsider than say yes and back out. The former would give me some confidence that the person really did give the offer another look, while the latter might tarnish my own credibility with the facility or unit.

Go for it.
