Good morning!
Joe, sorry to hear that you weren't feeling good. Hope you feel better today and have a good day.
Stars, can't say I'm surprised that you husband changed courses but I guess it's good he's feeling better. Hope you guys had a good day.
They seemed to make good progress on the bathroom remodel and are here now. Supposedly they can finish up today. I went to Target and got some new towels and bathroom stuff like a garbage can and toothbrush holder. Looking forward to seeing the finished project. They said they ran into no issues which was good.
We had a good night at bowling and won them all. This ended a six week losing streak. In fact we won more points last night than we did the six weeks prior combined. Hopefully we get out of last place. LOL
Going to yoga and maybe treat myself to lunch. I have a script at the pharmacy at work for Clonazepam and I might swing by and get that get my flu shot in the process but no hurry on that. Still annoyed they require me to fill scripts at their pharmacy and not the one a couple of blocks away with better hours.
A quick good morning from Bend, OR. It’s nice to see real trees, again. It will take us about 6 1/2 hours of driving to get home.
We are going to put up some Halloween decorations when we get home, going to get a blowup and lights.
Dianah, that sounds like a lovely home.
Tweety, the bathroom project will be worth the wait, I’m sure.
Joe, I hope your tummy settles.
Hugs to NoStars.
nursej22, what a lovely campsite! When do you start for home?
Joe, I like to watch Star Trek too!
Tweety, congrats on your bowling wins, w00t!! When will you find out what "place" you are in? How exciting to have the remodel almost done! Are you comfortable sharing photos of the finished product?
I got up a little earlier today, and called a friend who lives back East. I have put off calling for too long, HAD to do it! And I'm glad I did! It was so nice to connect!
Today I need to take the car to get its oil changed, and have to mail a package. So I am gearing up to "git goin'!"
Have a good day!
Good Afternoon!
I have to go wake up Nannie; I'm sure by now she is thoroughly soaked and will require bed-change in addition to a wash up and putting dry things on her. She just recently has begun NOT getting up to pee, so....OH WELL! Hubby keeps saying we'll figure out something to get care for her that doesn't involve me doing it. I was going to say "us", but he doesn't do much for her. I told him that we need to consult with a financial advisor to see if there is somehow we can get a break from these 7/24/365 shifts, but he somehow, for some reason, seems unenthusiastic about that. Ppfftt! He'll have to get over it, because I sure as shootin' don't know how to manage it!
I called the doc's office to check on his appt day and time, because he kept saying it's next Thursday, and I said it was Wednesday the 26th at 1 PM. He's not going to slip out of that one! (I was correct and have it marked on both calendars!)
I was right, Nannie had no pullups or pads on, as she'd shed them when she got up, and put on a dry pair of pj bottoms. She came out of her room saying, "Honey, my bed is wet." (I figured it was.) So, I did all required, and then called hubby who was out getting my car washed and cleaned....I asked him if he'd picked up a sandwich for Nannie's lunch, but he hadn't. Asked him if would do that, and he (dumbly) said "I'll have to find a place. What does she want?" I told him to get her anything, because she is not a fussy eater. She nodded her head with enthusiasm, and said, "That's right!"
He just called back and sounded a little cranky: "Have you got out a plate on her tray yet?" Uh, yeh, and she's had her meds and has a drink of CranApple juice by her chair.
I have decided that despite his edgy moods, *I* am going to have a GOOD day!
Tweety, hope the bathroom project is completed to your satisfaction. We'll be doing that soon (no date yet). Congrats on the wins at bowling. Apparently your team just took a little while to get back in the groove.
Joe, knitting and watching Star Trek sounds like a pleasant evening.
Pretty campsite, J22.
Stars, I get it. When I saw my therapist last I was in a good mood and laughing and he asked what was different. I told him some of the stressors have eased up but later I thought maybe it was at least partly that Hubs has been less moody and more cheerful due to his tramadol. His moodiness does affect everyone.
Spent most of the day at the new hospital. A rep was here to teach the staff how to use the new telemetry units and monitors. Another rep demonstrated the features of the new beds. I talked with staff about placement of supplies, etc. and well, we'll see. I sure would have done some things differently if I had been designing the space, but we will make it work.
Since Nannie had very late lunch, and had been to the bathroom, hubby and I went out and ate at the Chinese Buffet. Nannie slept the whole time we were gone.
There was a little girl about 5 years old, sitting w/ 4 women who were all obviously related; the girl ate everything on her plate and stood up and said, "Oh, I am SO full! Feel my stomach!" She walked around the table to each of the ladies, and nothing would do but everyone at the table had to pat and rub her tummy. It was kind of cute. Then, since the women were through with their meal, sitting and talking, the girl got up and brought the women a dessert, one-by-one.
The woman who was the only person 'manning the floor" (doing the table bussing) was so busy, hopping up and down, and trying to get in her meal break at the same time. When she sat down again for just a minute, I went over and asked her if she was allowed to keep her own tips (some places they pool the tips, y'know) and she said "Yes", but I saw her glance over at the checkout place, I slipped her a five, and she slipped it in her pocket saying : "Oh, thank you, thank you so much!" She probably is supposed to put it in a tip jar, but I hope she doesn't, because she worked HARD and deserved it. She made me think about how nurses seldom get an un-interrupted meal break, if at all, so I thought a little appreciation was due to this woman. She might have felt good, getting it, but it made me feel good-er to do it.
So now that I am home, as I write this, I am waiting for Nannie's blankets to dry so I can make the rest of the bed (again).
Not sure what's on tonight, but I know there are no ballgames that we care to watch. Last night Nannie got some of the show "48 HOURS" mixed up with real life and tried to tell us something about how she was afraid people would think she was mixed up in all this with those bad people. Had to tell her it was a TV show, filmed several years ago, about something that happened in the past, and no one thought she was "in on" the crimes.
So, I switched it to something she likes....Family Feud. She likes it when they get risque' and Steve Harvey makes faces and laughs. It has gotten so I have to tell her that it is 10 o'clock and time for her to go to bed, because I was going to get up and turn the TV off and go upstairs.(even if that's not so.) She wants to stay up as long as I do, and I don't want her glommed onto me by THAT habit.
Time to turn on the news.............

Tweety glad they showed up as expected
Hi NJ22
Sounds like a fun time Dianah
Stars it's good you're keeping your dh on track with his appointments
Ado that's good that you decorate for Halloween. I usually don't do anything
Was a pretty good day at work, never got too busy despite someone being out sick. Hopefully today will be quieter still
Was having a lot of stomach troubles yesterday. Maybe something I ate? It could not have been stress, that was pretty much under control. Eventually things settled down towards the evening
Was also very tired last evening, actually fell asleep with the lights on an hour before my usual bedtime. Hopefully I'll have more energy today and feel better
Was a fairly quiet evening otherwise, exercised and working on knitting and watched Star Trek
Going to be another cold day here in the mid 40s
