Tweety thanks for sharing the pictures

Stars meds can be tricky, I only have 2 but I still have to move the pill bottles after I take them to remind myself I did take them and don't double up or miss

Hi TMB

Today is my official birthday

Worked through lunch at work yesterday.  Didn't have much work myself, but one of the 2 people out had a lot to do, including 2 new cases.  Did manage to get out on time and get everything done.  Today should be easier, unless something unexpected came in

Apart from work it was a pretty quiet day.  Exercised and washed sheets.  Got the word the car made it here finally.  Now they have to check it over, then give me a time to go over there and discuss buying it.  If it doesn't happen by tomorrow most likely it'll be sometime next week

Today going to do the grocery shopping after work. Normally I'd wait until tomorrow but things will be too crazy then.  Also going to pick up a small Christmas tree--after Thanksgiving I'll head downtown to the Christmas market and get some ornaments for it

Colder day today in the upper 40s with some rain

Happy birthday, Joe.

We have the 7 year old again as his mother is unexpectedly having her gall bladder out today.

We are up and dressed and waiting for BiL to arrive, then off to see the lawyer at the Clerk of Courts to see about getting the guardianship process started.

Happy Birthday Joe!  Having even a little tree adds a festive note to a room!

tmb, hope the surgery goes smoothly and that recovery is rapid.

No Stars, hope today's trip accomplishes what it needs to.  You will both be totally tired, after the early rising and all the hubbub!

Not much going on here.  We are taking oldest ds out to eat on Thanksgiving.  Then, we are deciding whether or not to go to a jam on Friday in Vista, about 1.5 hr away.  It is still in Discussion Mode.  We will practice with fiddler this weekend, for our Dec. 9 20-min Christmas program.

I made a chicken and vegetable soup, using cabbage instead of noodles.  Dh LOVED it!  He likes any soups I make, but prefers a clear broth over a creamy soup.

Yesterday I took a couple bags of clothes and shoes to Salvation Army.  It's a small thing, but it feels good to have done it.  There is more to do, that will come in time.

Have a good day!

Happy birthday Joe.

TMB, best of luck to your daughter and her surgery.  Will she be discharged same day?

Stars, best of luck to you.  I'm sure it's all a pain, but necessary.

Dianah, I do not like creamy soups at all either.

I'll be making a big batch of lentil soup today for the days to come.

I went to four hours of annual competencies and am now competent to do my job.  We had to change a central line dressing, use restrains, put in a foley on a dummy.  It was grueling but seemed much better organized than years gone by.  I even made 100% on my EKG test that had 20 questions.

I work tomorrow but off Thursday. I got up at 5:30 when I really wanted to get up at 6:00AM.  The manifestation of my insomnia of getting up earlier than I want has shown up.

Anyway..........

Dunno about discharge Tweety.

Done and done. Well, not completely; now BiL has to get 'bonded' so he will be legal. Then we will need to "figure how much money Nannie needs per month" and, what? I get it in a lump sum, or receive a check, or ....?  I don't know. Since we share so many meals and some products, I don't understand how the ingredients, etc. can be separately purchased. I reckon I'll find out. I prefer how I am doing it now, but I don't know if the receipts etc have to be turned in to some official at the Courthouse to prove what is spent, or if BiL has to fill out some kind of forms or whatever...???? No need to worry about it now, though.

I had BiL take us by the What-a-Burger to get hot dogs and extra-crispy tater-tots and onion rings for lunch. We don't usually eat lunch at lunchtime, because we get up late. But the What-a-Burger was right next to the Courthouse, so I thought "what the heck!"

Nannie is totally conked out, and I am thinking of tossing a lap robe over myself here in the den, and lean back, close my eyes, and see if I can take a 'power-nap'.

Ooooh you should've heard Momo when we got back; she yapped and yapped and squealed at me until I had to pick her up so she'd hush. Two whole hours alone; how PITIFUL!!

Later, y'all~

Congratulations on being found "Competent", Tweety, to work as you have been doing for umpteen years already!?‍?

not-tmb~ Good-Bye Gallbladder! w00t!  And don't bring anything back with you ? from the hospital!

Joe~ I am officially?wishing you a Happy Official Birthday!  ?‍♂️<---Have a a white russian or a ?martooni to celebrate!  (That birthday-cake emoji is pitiful looking! Whatever happened to all the celebratory emoji's?)

tmb~ ☀️☀️☀️ Here's a dab of sunshine, because you said it is disappearing from where you are up there in Alaska.

dianah~ I have two shopping bags packed full, to go to the women's shelter's thrift store. There will probably be 6 or 7 more bags to go there after I get to cleaning out hubby's closet. Across-the-street-friend said for me to keep an eye out for another gun; he said he thought hubby had a Ruger as well as the Glock. We'll see!

j22~ did you bicycle into the wind and rain this morning, to get your breakfast?  (I don't know what your end of the world is up to, weather-wise.) Anyway, I hope you are warm and dry.

I don't know why I just drank a cup of coffee if I am going to try to nap! Nannie is still sound asleep, sawing logs, and has her mouth open so wide I could see her tonsils, if I wanted to, which I don't. Momo has settled down. Now I am going to close my eyes and see if I can doze-out for a while.

Hullo. I did take a small bike ride (about 7 miles) in the cool, breezy weather. No rain expected until tomorrow. I am motivating myself to make cookies. I have sheets in the washer and a basket of towels to fold. Yesterday I had to take my glasses to the optical shop for repair. Apparently the screw came out, but I caught the lens before it fell on the ground. The optician noticed my lenses were scratched and offered to replace because they were still under warranty. I am not sure why this wasn't brought up 2 weeks ago when they had to replace the frames. I also went for a short run down by the waterfront as long as I was in town. I've been trying to clean, and get the fridge emptied to hold stuff so I can prep as much as possible before Thursday.

Tweety, hurray for competency!

Stars, another step forward... I would think they could just take 50% of the food and household costs to figure out what Nannie's expenses are, separate from her hygiene needs. But what do I know?

TMB wishing your dd a speedy, uneventful recovery. Most people I know feel tons better after a chole, especially lap choles.

I admit, I am not overly fond of most soups. dh doesn't consider them to be a main dish, so I don't make them often. I like chicken tortilla soup and will usually choose that when dining out, if available. And I like pho.

Happy Birthday, Joe! I tried to insert an emoji, but it always ends up at the beginning of the post.
