Dianah sounds like a nice day

NJ22 that's a lot of steps

Tweety good that you had a quiet shift

Stars glad to hear she was quiet

Was quiet for me yesterday.  Went bird watching in the morning though I saw very few birds.  Perhaps because it was cloudy and windy.  Came home and did cooking for the week, also made a burger for the first time in a long time but it only came out OK.  Watched some Outlander and relaxed.  Did some laundry too

Today back to work, hopefully the work has not piled up in my absence.  Planning on grocery shopping after work

Think it will be in the 70s again, although rain and storms are likely later in the day

Good morning!

Joe, hopefully

I'm a bit fatigued and just can't summon any energy.  Hoping the coffee kicks in and I can do something productive.

I hate relatively healthy but the weight didn't budge.  I won't worry about it.

Hello all!

Joe, too bad you didn't see many birds while you were out, but at least you got out and about.  I hope work isn't too crazy.

Tweety, I hope your coffee kicked in --- or not, and that you are able to relax today.  Is a trip to the beach in the cards?

We had a nice day at Disneyland yesterday, though it was VERY crowded -- it being a holiday and Grad Day and etc.  We dressed dapper, as always, and met some nice ppl.  Got to hear our two fave bands -- twice each! -- and dh got a churro, for once.  They had a marionberry sauce to dip it into.  Actually, the sauce was plunked next to what looked like some vanilla pudding, so dh swirled that churro around, and munched the whole thing down, and declared it was Very Good!

The weather was 75 degrees, with a nice breeze.  Flowers were all in bloom, they were lovely.  I neglected to take any photos; maybe it was too crowded, I'm not sure, but I wasn't driven to take any photos.  We walked 8500 steps, and probably 4 miles.  Not as much as other times, but that's OK.  At least we were, as Joe, out and about!  We did ride on the Mark Twain, listening to the Strawhatters do their 2:00pm set.  That was the only ride we went on!

Today is for relaxing.  I will contact my friend S and see if she is still planning to walk later on, and I will go if she is.

Weight is slowly coming off, I think I have 10# logged so far.  Got at least 10 more to go, so "steady as she goes!"  I have cheated a little here and there -- took a bite of the Disneyland Toffee Churro, which was scrumptious!!  It was their homemade toffee in a flat wafer, coated with cinnamon and sugar.  I love ALL those ingredients!  I have to remind myself, though, my goal is to lose weight AND to get my A1c down, so cheating a lot with sugary things is pretty much a No-No!  Ah, each day is a new day!

Have a good day!

I meant to say above I ate relatively healthy, not "I hate..."...but sometimes I hate passing up on goodies, like we had this week.  A co-worker brought in homemade cookies and a family member brought us brownies.  Both of which I passed on.

Good luck with your continued weight loss and good lab work Dianah.  Cheating I think overall doesn't affect A1C unless it's frequent.  I didn't know my A1C was going to be checked this last time and I cheated a lot over the holidays.

I did online check in on my app for my doctor's appointment next week.  For some reason there was a diabetes questionnaire.  I answered the questions and came up with "you may have pre-diabetes, talk this over with your MD".  Maybe because of my height/weight thing is usually on the upper end and I'm over 60.  My A1C is 5.0 so phhht on diabetes.

I'm feeling better but had to lay down.  I think the accumulation of working overtime and not sleeping well for several days added up to me just being wiped out.

Have some laundry going but not much else getting done yet.  Deciding on hot yoga vs. gym.  The hot yoga class is my choice but the traffic this time of day is miserable.

SIL passed away yesterday. Waiting to hear details of funeral arrangements, but we know it will be in Indiana (she died in Florida). Not relishing taking Gma on that trip but how can we not take her to her daughter's funeral? She has now outlived 2 of her 3 kids.

dianah, I tried the low-carb pie, using strawberry jello. The tartness of the yogurt does make me think that it would be good in the lime version. Anyway, I like the texture and the flavor is good, though obviously artificial-sweetener-taste.

I also made banana bread as I had been saying for days I would do.  This recipe is not very sweet and in fact has a rather salty flavor. I think next time I'll find a different recipe.

So sorry to hear about SIL's passing.  Yes, that would be a challenge to travel with Gma.

Salty banana bread?  Nah, it should be on the sweeter side, not salty.  Hope you can find a recipe you like.

nursej22, I know what you mean, our sons are in their mid-30's now; time just goes too fast!

Getting ready to go out to walk and then hit the grocery store.

Have a good evening!

Had a bad night last night.... I had to get up 6x because I had diarrhea. My first clue was when I lay down and relaxed, I had to urge to fart, and uh-oh....it wasn't air coming out! 😞 I do have IBS but mine is "D", not "C". And the other day I did eat a good, healthy amount of Tuscan Bean salad. I have also been going through a low, aggravated, irritable couple of days, and my emotions have always landed in my gut...so it is possible both of those things brought on the IBS. (Not like it hasn't happened before.) But between 1 AM and 6:30 AM I didn't get a heck of a lot of sleep....maybe 4 hours between 7 AM and 11 AM . Had a bunch of laundry to do (as you might imagine!) and I had to throw away some undies. Got dressed and then SiL got here to get Nannie for the day. I used the time "off" to go do some shopping, and decided to get some of the items that have been transferred week by week in my brain (notebook)....spent more $ than I wanted to, but now I don't have to carry those things forward to another week in the brain. And that is important because, I have to start a new notebook as of tomorrow!

Here's something I think we all can relate to:

"LAUNDRY SCHEDULE----Wash 40 minutes----Dry 60 minutes----Put Away 7 to 10 business days."

It's time to get Momo and give her the bedtime snack then we will get under the covers and HOPEFULLY sleep well without any, um, intermissions, so to speak!
