Good morning!
Slept a little later than I needed to but slept well. I was dreaming I was about to give my sister and then father lasix IV with a needle and syringe, not an IV. Weird.
I've seen the Knives Out movies and I hear a third on is in the works. They pretty good with great casts.
We frequently have dew points in the 70's. Currently it's 77 with 93% humidity. But mornings are usually the most humid part of the day, but it's also moist because it might rain throughout the day. We're used to it and there's air conditioning and if it rains it cools off some. It's the price we pay for no Winter.
Worked an overtime shift yesterday and an RN and secretary called in sick, so I had to take patients. One of the techs was pulled to do secretary so that was good but she got pulled later to sit with a suicide watch that came up from the ER. They are supposed to come up staffed with a sitter, but it was ER staff and they wanted that tech back and we had to pull from our working staff. Very annoying. A patient fired a nurse and I had to take over her patient. The nurse is a witch sometimes but the patient is also particular saying the nurse wasn't friendly enough.
Off today and much chores to catch up on.
Hope all have a nice day.
We have watched and enjoyed Knives Out and The Glass Onion.
Yesterday I picked up the glorified pulse ox for my home sleep study. It uses Bluetooth to send data to an app on the phone. It doesn't let me see that data 🙂 Since the instructions said not to use any other apps on the phone when it was recording, my usual bedtime routine of browsing and playing games or reading a Kindle book was not available to me. It took a while to fall asleep and I was up twice, about 2:30 and about 4:00. I'll use it again tonight and return the device tomorrow.
Hello all!
We had a good band practice yesterday; we are getting more solid as a band, with our new bass player. We have one more practice scheduled before our mid-August program. Today I need to arrange the order of songs in the set, and share that with fiddler for her input. She's the only one of us who reads music well, and has a good feel for song order (some songs sound similar, and we don't want them next to each other in the set).
I slept well last night, was sure tired! Woke up a couple times but was able to get back to sleep.
Today will do a few household chores, and make more "crackers." Last batch was chewy, not crisp. Dh loved them like that; I prefer crisp! We'll see how these turn out.
Have a good day/afternoon/evening!
We are having a High-yi-yi temp of 90+ something degrees and a 'feels-like" 107 degrees! EGADS! 67% chance of rain around 4 & 5 PM. I could go out on an errand to pick up a med refill, but it's not urgent. I rather think it is a good day to stay indoors!
Yes, there is Nannie's laundry to do, and a few dishes, and lots of trash in the wastebaskets, so I won't be doing exactly nothing.....just the usual house-wifely chores.
I am wearing a tee-shirt that says "YOU DON'T KNOW ME // Federal Witness Protection Program." Was one of hubby's Xmas or b'day presents. I don't think he wore it very much.
I woke up with a portion of The Music Man's lyrics playing in my head: "There were copperbottom tympani and horse platoons / Thundering, thundering all along the way // ...And clarinets in eve'ry size and trumpeters who improvise / a full octave higher than the score!" Yowie-zowie! Such energetic music! My head enjoys it but my body doesn't seem to follow; ie I am being slothful, sitting back on the sofa with my feet up.
Nannie has her eyes closed, but she is not asleep yet. She is wearing a frown. Who knows why? Who is going to ask? NOT ME!
Another comparatively hot day here--85 and 40% humidity, so I've been taking it slow. We do not have air conditioning, most people do not. With luck, the house will cool down to 70 by bedtime.
I got some more blueberries picked, washed and bagged for the freezer . Eldest ds stopped by yesterday to pick up what I had already done for himself and to drop some off for his sister and her family. I did a little watering, but then got super sleepy so I laid down and took a 3 hour nap. We are watching the All-star baseball game. Last night during the home run derby the Seattle catcher won, which was fun to watch.
Tomorrow I go back to the orthopedic surgeon for follow up on my broken clavicle. It stopped hurting a couple of weeks ago, so I suspect he will give me the okay to start strengthening it.
My dh did the at home apnea test, which he said was much better than the old sleep in the clinic days.
I saw Knives Out and Glass Onion. I liked Glass Onion much more. I am wanting to see the new Superman in a theatre. When the temp gets into the 90s, we will often go to a movie just to escape the heat for a few hours.
I just found out that BiL is going for a colonoscopy tomorrow and he has to be there at 6 AM and SiL will be his 'sober'-driver! So, I have to get Nannie up, then also take her to the Senior Center between 8:30 and 9 AM. Guess I'll be doing my few errands after I drop her off and get 'em done earlier than usual! Then I suppose I will 'piddle around' in the house after that. Piddle, not being 'peeing', but rather, well, putzing around, but ya know what I mean.....nothing planned. just see what I feel like doing....or nothing at all, Don't know if I will be picking her up in the afternoon, but I suspect I will be doing that, too.
🎼🎵🎶.....Just another manic Monday....
I'm interested in seeing Superman. Hubs rarely goes to movies anymore, and of course there's Gma to think about. Twin B has read things online that make him think he wouldn't like this one. But I might be able to get them to go if Hubs won't.
It's time to stop using my phone and put on the glorified pulse ox.

Ado sounds like an unpleasant day to have been outside for long
Stars that is very hot and humid
Dianah I have heard of both of those movies although I have not seen either one
Work was pretty good yesterday, despite having someone off. Nothing unexpected and not too busy
After work was pretty quiet too, ran an errand and exercised and that was pretty much it
Today might be a little busier at work, no one off but do have a case to present for rounds. After work the usual grocery shopping and exercise
Will be a bit warmer than yesterday, think it will get up to the low 90s
