Good morning!

Happy Lunar New Year.  May the new year give you luck and prosperity.

Rose_Queen, nice to hear from you.   Congrats on your new job!

Amo, good luck with the monitor and the upcoming results and thanks for coming over to the "yellow side".

Dianah, Lake Havasu sounds like a nice place.

J22, hope your sister's procedures were successful.

Joe, budget discussions are always interesting.  Years ago I was part of a church that fired a pastor for mismanagement of funds and getting us into a crippling debt.  Bad times.  Also when I was going to UU during the Great Recession times were extremely hard as tithes and other endeavors were way down.  They are still there so they survived.

Not much going on today but cooking and cleaning.  Hope to make it to yoga.  My bowling team was really good last night and we won them all against the first place team.  I certainly don't mind losing but felt good to win.  LOL

I owe $750 in taxes. I was so bummed about that.  I rarely owe in taxes.  This is what I get for working so hard.  Humph.  I noticed gas prices jumped here again.  I tried to stay in a budget but overspent on groceries by $38.00.  Oh well, I'm thankful for the food and provisions.  I can make ends meet but hate working overtime for the extras. Oh well, like I said, I'm thankful.

I saw on a local men's board on facebook in St. Pete someone with a Masters Degree that's a therapist looking for a room to rent until he can leave town.  His salary doesn't support the high rents here any more.  It's a story being told all over as I'm reading our rents in this part of Florida went up 40%, the highest jump in the nation.  Sad to see working educated people struggling to make ends meet.

Have a great day.

Tweety that sucks having to owe taxes.  With the rising prices staying within a budget is tricky

Dianah sounds like fun, music can be very stimulating

NJ22 we used to be about 150 but some people have left so now we're down to about 140

Hi Rose, long time no see

Amo I hope the weather doesn't complicate things

Hi sirI

Work started off busier than expected, we're having to compile information on existing cases in case anything gets lost in the transfer to the new system.  Found out we had to do this not only for our own cases but for the cases we were covering for the person who quit.  Thankfully there aren't that  many, and a new person will take over those cases next week.  Also found out late yesterday that we were short on our billable hours, so spent some time finding stuff I had done that I hadn't reported any time on that could qualify

Saw the PCP after work, everything is fine except for the weight which has been creeping up again.  Not a surprise, will be something to address this month.  Came home and exercised

Thought about doing grocery shopping tonight due to the snowstorm expected, but will rain this afternoon and evening which would make that tricky.  And it looks like the snow will stop by  tomorrow afternoon, before my usual grocery shopping time

Might get up to 40 today, with rain then snow later, possibly quite a bit of it.  Might  get some more Wed into Thurs but in this area at least that 2nd snowfall should be light

Good morning. My sister did okay with her procedure, but it was a long day. I dropped her off at 6 am. doc called me at 2 to say the procedure just finished, and I picked her up at 6 to take her home. She had an anaphylactic reaction at one point, probably due to contrast media. Per the recovery nurse, her airway swelled, and they had trouble bagging her! She got a biventricular pacer (like me) and they had trouble threading the third wire. But she looked and felt good. She was actually pink, instead of pasty gray. I think she'll do well, as long as she doesn't over do which can make the pacer site sore. I will call her in a little bit.

So I didn't do much else yesterday. Got a run in, dropped off some stuff to MIL, and got tickets for the Flower and Garden Show next month in Seattle. And I picked up teriyaki for dinner. I have been over-doing the carbs lately, plan to be more mindful about eating. When I eat too much wheat products, my joints seem to ache more.

Tweety, that sucks about paying taxes. Our gas prices seem quite variable from station to station. I noticed restaurant prices seem to be creeping up. Congrats on your bowling wins.

Joe, that seems like a nice size for a congregation. I suppose your new pastor is working to increase size. Your church's music program seems like a big plus. Stay safe when out!

Amo, I hope you can make your appointments. I am sorry you are not tolerating the Eliquis, and hope your medical team can find a good alternative.

Hi Rose and sirI!  I agree, the club is easier to find that I thought it would be.

amo, good to know your sister made it through that long day and may even feel better!  I know that third wire, that helps coordinate the ventricles, can be very helpful, and patients report feeling more energetic after a Bi-V implant.   I hope she continues to do well.  You are a good sis for helping!

I shopped at a Sprouts yesterday, first time being in there for shopping (not just gawking).  I found some low-carb bread I'm going to try.  And some other interesting snack things.  I still need to pick up a few things at our regular grocery store.  Will stop by after work today.

Tweety, congrats on the bowling wins!!  And I agree: with prices all going up, it's difficult to keep to a budget.  You probably paid taxes on all your OT. ? Thanks for the reminder, I need to call and schedule a time to get my taxes done.

Joe, hope you found enough to report, to please those scrutinizing the billable hours.  So, when will you go shopping??  In the rain or just before the snowstorm?

Well, I'm off to work.  Have a good day!

My "try to book an MRI" game continues. Last week, I called the hospital procedure scheduling as instructed by PCP office. They asked if I had a pacer, and I was told they need to check with cardiology. I thought, hmm, this is all the same organization/electronic medical record, seems odd they just couldn't look it up. I followed up today, and they are waiting for a return fax. Yes, in this day and age, they must have the piece of paper that says its okay. So I called the cardiology office, who of course says they received  no fax. And they give me their fax number. Call the hospital back, and no, they can't fax it to the requested line, it must go to the device clinic. Which is a room in the cardiology office. So she faxed it again, I call cardiology, again, and lo and behold they have it, will fill it out, and return today! And, MRI bookings are two weeks out.

Dianah, is Sprouts like Whole Foods? I hope your bread is tasty. I like bread, but it doesn't like me. One slice of multigrain for breakfast is my limit.

I have never been in a Whole Foods store, so I don't know how to compare them.  Just did a check, and the internet says Sprouts is an up-and-coming competitor for Whole Foods.  And you KNOW if the internet says it, IT IS SO!

Work went steady-busy.  It's nice to be home.

Have a good evening!

I've been to Sprouts once and wasn't all that impressed.  We have a good local store that's locally owned that I try to go to more than others that is just as good.

J22, that MRI sure has been a saga!

When you guys click on the Daily Diary link and it brings you to "what's new" does it show today's thread?  It's only showing Monday for me and you have to hit "entries" to find today's thread.  Since Tuesday comes after Monday, doesn't it make sense that Tuesday would be under "what's new"?

Never mind.  All I had to do was write about it and it suddenly changed to show today's thread under "what's new".

LOL. whatever

dianah - it's nursej22 whose sister rec'd the PMR. Glad that she's feeling better. You're right that j22 is a good sister.

Tweety - I had problems too. It looks like he thread is 'wired/programmed' to post the first timed post FIRST, then all else falls in time-wise. Before we would have to just scroll down after the post was started.

Also the other rooms have that 'checkmark' for members.
