Ado will storm here today too, but will stay relatively cool

Despite having someone off on the team, work was not bad yesterday, got a new case and was able to manage it fine.  Did have an angry call with someone who is unhappy with the company.  Was able to calm him down a bit by the end of the call, though it ended up being a long call.  He has a lawyer now so I'm not able to talk to him, which will be a relief

Rest of yesterday was pretty normal.  Exercised and worked on a puzzle and relaxed

Sleep was a bit screwed up due to being woken by thunderstorms.  Had more of the vivid and weird dreams

Feeling drained today, hopefully work won't be too busy.  Not much planned after work except for grocery shopping and the usual exercise.  Need to outreach my cousin regarding our vacation, haven't heard from her since Thursday

Going to be cooler today, mid 80s, with rain and storms during the evening

We had tremendous thunderstorms last night, too! And lots of rain; there are still puddles all around I the yard. I have taken Tinker out twice in the last hour and 1/2 but no business was done. I hate it when that DOESN'T happen! I took her around the yard twice, each time, but it didn't stimulate anything except my 'anterior ileac crests', which ached and ached and ached.

SiL just arrived (2:30PM) and said she was going to wash Nannie's hair and give her a perm, and "would you like me to cut your hair, too?" I responded, "Oh hey'uhll YES!!" Hope to have....what do they call it? "Stacking"? but not very short, just enough to take some of the weight off the hair at the back. If it is cut too short, my hair just goes stick straight and that's not good.

Chatty CG and SiL bumped into each other at the store this morning, and she said.....SiL said "You can't make this stuff up!" .........Her husband got carbon monoxide poisoning and ended up in the hospital for 5 days. Then he had a tooth abscess and went to a cheapo-chain dentist, who pumped him FULL of Novacaine, to the point that the area was ? 'all spongey' and wouldn't absorb the Novacaine.....?......so he could still feel it later, and CG took him to an emergency room, where a dental surgeon removed the remainder of the tooth root that was left behind....and he as on antibiotics which he had a reaction to. Also, he mother is finishing up her whatever-it-is treatment and hopefully she will start feeling better soon. So CG said MAYBE she can come back in a few weeks....?

Anyway, I'm going to stop now and prolly will come back later....

Ah, love the sound of ocean waves on the beach. Dh is off shopping because he can't go a day without it. Weather is partly cloudy, sun breaks, mid 60s, glad I brought my hoodie.

I love the beach photos, j22!  (Even if a hoodie was needed)

Doing errands today, and getting things arranged for the festival in a few days.  Housesitter will be by tonite for a run-thru with dh.

LuLu is alert, and doing well getting around and making her desires known. 

I stopped off for a quick visit with oldest ds.  In a cleaned-out area, I had found two martini glasses with wavy green stems.  Don't ask me where they came from or why I --a teetotaler! -- had them!  Ds has many bartending friends, though, and I figured someone would be able to use them, so I left them with him.  It was good to chat with him, too.

Glad you got your hair trimmed, No Stars!

Gosh Stars you can't make that stuff up.

I'm still sick.  I think Immodium makes me sluggish and I shouldn't take it during the day or maybe it's my imagination.  

Got excused from Jury Duty.  w00t

Was extremely busy today with a dozen or more discharges and at least 14 admissions.  Was crazy and I couldn't keep up.

Glad Tweety got out of jury duty at least. 

We've had a nurse and an aide diagnosed with Covid today. And 3 of our admissions over the last 2 weeks were Covid positive. So. Hoping for not-an-outbreak. 

My brother called and left a message that he wanted to talk about the follow-up from his colonoscopy so I called him back and it sounds pretty benign. Odd that they had him go back for a follow-up after only 1 year, though.

Yes, Ado, only about 2 hr away, and nearer to the coast so it will be cooler than here.  And more humid, in our experience, when attending this same festival.  Looking forward to jamming, visiting, enjoying!  Our band will do the Sunday morning gospel set; 9 am!!  

I hope you don't have a Covid outbreak!
