Tweety glad the roof and the ceiling are done

Hi TMB

Stars Svengoolie has the 1961 version of that movie this Saturday

Ado I hope everyone there recovers soon

Work was a bit crazy in the morning but did settle down towards the end of the day, apart from some technical issues I'm still working on

After work had the doctor's appointment, went well, only 1lb more than last time and blood pressure improved.  Rest of the day was pretty quiet overall.  Texted with the cat sitter, so that's taken care of

Today will likely be another quite busy one at work, we'll see.  After work have grocery shopping

Will start off fairly warm, mid 70s, although by the evening it will be down into the 40s

Good morning!
TMG if I need a new refrigerator I'll go with GE made in the USA not because I think they are better, actually I think Korean are better like LG or Samsung but because of tariffs or impending tariffs, so call a win for Trump.  My repair guy says he has good luck with GE.

Stars, I know you're going through a lot but and like I've said before I like that your BIL and his wife have stepped up to the plate to help you in whatever small ways they do.

I survived my colonoscopy.  He said the prep was good but found one polyp, which means a biopsy and a return visit in five years.  I was hoping to make this my last visit.  He said the polyp didn't look concerning at all.   The pre-procedure nurse was someone I knew and of course I knew the doc, but mercifully the nurse in the room and everyone else were people I didn't know.

Had some bacon left over from my low fiber day and had that and am going to take a nap.  I took my last bowl prep at 23:00 last night and am tired and anesthesia seems to be making me more tired this time,

Otherwise no plans.  Am off tomorrow.

Rainy day here, and we can use it. Except we are going on a tour of an experimental garden in the county south of us. I've had trouble sleeping, so I feel a little ragged. This too shall pass.

Tweety, thats good news about your colonoscopy, I've had polyps before, and usually get told return in 5 years. The last time, they said 3 years based on my family history of colon cancer. I pushed back, and said they had incorrect info, so got it changed to 5 years. And I felt terrible on day 2 after the procedure. That was my first time getting propofol and I wasn't a fan.

Hello all!

Tweety, glad you are done with the colonoscopy, and the news was "only" one polyp!  Also, what a relief the roof IS finally DONE!  Thanks for the advice on getting a new fridge, I will tuck that away for future use.  Rest up!

Ado, too bad Gma finally got the crud but I hope it is a light case.

nursej22, I don't think I have ever had propofol.  Sounds like it really hung on after the fact, for you.  I'll bet that was NOT pleasant.  I do recall, after my mitral valve repair, it taking 3-4 days to get over the GA (upset stomach, mainly, and just not myself).

Hi Joe!

Yes, No Stars, the danger in making those little cheese 'crackers' is I will eat too many!!

I slept OK last night (6 hr), will take it!  Have a good day!

Yes. BiL and SiL have really been helpful in a lot of ways; unfortunately they cannot change, and the dementia doesn't seem to have changed, Nannie's basic personality! And I am so burned out by being with her so much for so long.

And now, I just got a call from SiL that the daycare center wants to send Nannie home because she has a cough and they don't think she feels too well. BiL will go get her and bring her home. It isn't even NOON yet. I thought she has sounded congested for several days and it sounded 'worse' yesterday, but everyone said "Oh, but if she doesn't have a fever...." So she went to daycare and now, she's coming home. w00t.

Propofol is a wonderful drug.  I remember lying on my side and then the nurse waking me up that it's over.  I was back in my pre-op room and I don't remember anything about the procedure or even being taken back to my room.  I was a little goofy for about a minute after she woke me up.  But woke up quickly and feel good now.

The doctor texted me around 5:30 to see how I was doing.  He's a texter.  I texted him the other day and asked him to call me because I had a couple of issues to discuss about two patients on our unit and he told me to tell him in a text please.

Ado, heard on the new OK had gotten some storms.  It's our dry time here and we could use a bit of rain.  Still having nice weather though.

It did storm a bit. Grandson shared a photo he found on Facebook of a baseball team in Oklahoma with a funnel cloud behind them. The caption explained that the storm was about 20 miles away from them but it looked impressive.

The rain is good. I'd like to see some sunshine again soon.

I hope Nannie's doing better. And maybe sleeping. 😉
