Good morning!
It's "Florida chilly" here today in the low 60's in the morning but warming up. It's nice and sunny.
I'm still feeling good after my root canal. Glad that's over but have to go in for a permanent filling with my regular dentist next week.
We won all games last night but so did the team we are tied for first place with. Next week is the last week and we bowl each other and whoever wins two games gets first place. They are much better than us.
I didn't sleep well. I think it might have been having coffee late around 7:00pm and that I was worried about my sister. She was supposed to arrive back at my parents yesterday and my dad called me said she didn't show and she's not answering calls. I texted her and heard nothing. Finally heard from her this morning with no explanation but I suppose she's okay. She changed her number and for some reason I didn't put it in my contacts and used an old number, but my dad had it and she ghosted him. Her daughter still thinks she's on drugs which she vehemently denies. Bleh...will go back to bed soon.
Hello all!
No Stars and Joe, I, too, will often have to return to the store for something or THINGS I forgot!
Joe, I learned from the vet and from online searches, hyperthyroidism is the most common feline endocrine disorder. Dunno if we will consider i125 treatments. The pill is easy enough for our little piggy, who INHALES the tuna we hide it in!
Tweety, ooooooo, the tension in the air is palpable!! One more game! Whatever the outcome, y'all did GOOD!
Well it was one of THOSE nights last night. Just couldn't get to sleep. I got, maybe, 3 hr in. Oh well. We are going to the museum jam from 1-3 this afternoon; we try to make it once a month.
Dh fixed his cane and is so excited to use it again, we made two more reservations to go walk at Disneyland. Our friend told us when he will be playing there, so hopefully we will catch SOME live music.
Have a good day!
Good morn-ternoon. ?
Nannie was already up in her recliner when I got up, so I brought her the yogurt/cran-apple-meds with which she starts her day. Hubby told me she had been up for two hours...so I wonder why HE didn't give her breakfast? I guess he doesn't want to deal with her at all. No kidding! Last night I said to him, "So, tomorrow you are going to call the Investment guy and see what is available for $$$$ to admit Nannie to the nsg home." And his reply? "If you want me to." I told him he has to start somewhere if he really wants to be unburdened of her presence. So has he called? So far, no. ? Ppfftt!
Didn't watch the game last night but the Braves won 2-0. Another game tonight at 9:40 PM. Late, because they are in San Diego. Have you ever tried to explain time-zones to someone with dementia? OY!
All for the moment. I've hit a slick-spot in my brain and Sssssslip-Zwoosh! WHOOPSIE! ?
Great picture, dianah!
I'm on the train back home. The weather was perfect while at my sister's. We went to the McNay art museum. Met her son and his wife to go out for Mexican food. Her knees are so bad that there are limitations to what we can do. She can't tolerate much standing and walking. She really needs knee replacements but is reluctant to have to go through the rehab.
Today has been overcast all day and I was cold all morning on the train. Hubs says it looks like rain at home.
Hey. I'm sitting in the parking lot at the ice rink, just dropped grandson for practice. I think this may be his last week. It's too cold inside, and there's no phone service. And it's pretty boring just watching drills. We drove down to the tulip fields today. Visited a growers show garden and walked into the fields a little, but I got cold and retreated to the gift shop.
We stopped and got pho for lunch. It wasn't bad, but I've had better. Then home to check on the dog, then it was time for hockey practice. I got an email from the vet. The dogs thyroid was a little low, so she wants to run another test, and maybe he has Cushings, but no symptoms, so more tests? Yeesh. I'm going to pause and look at my budget. What I thought was going to be a routine vaccine visit has so far cost $450. And the dog seems healthy.
Yes, j22, those photos of the flowers (and critters) are so beautimous!
It's pretty much time to head upstairs, but hubby has been such a pie-eyed patoot that I am waiting for him to settle in before I go up. He's a lot worse than pie-eyed and more than a patoot; I was trying to be nice and stay within the TOS guidelines. He's been picking on me about Pub Cl Hs, like, "What good does it do you to enter when you've only won $10 in 52 years?!"
So what? I only enter, and seldom purchase anything. Maybe I like to keep a little HOPE in my heart.
I so wanted to say, "What good does it do you to keep wasting money, and continue drinking and smoking? You are hurting your lungs, liver, kidneys and mental health." But no sense in starting an argument with a drunk who is on his high horse; he doesn't want to know that every drunken day he is digging his own grave.
He made no phone calls today, either.

Dianah too bad there were no bands. Thanks for sharing the picture
Stars I often have to make multiple shopping trips for stuff I forgot
NJ22 I hope your sister can get some answers
Tweety glad that the tooth pain is gone
Work was not bad yesterday, despite being a Monday and one person being off. Hopefully today will be similar, and there should be no one off today
Got a call from the vet, the lab results were fine but did show mild hyperthyroidism. Odd, this is the 2nd cat I've had that has that. She'll need a pill twice a day, which should be fine as she like those pill pockets, though it will make going away for extended periods a bit more tricky. I've let the cat sitter know. They can use iodine 125 to cure it permanently, but that's something to consider further down the road
Rest of the day was fairly quiet, was cold a bit rainy and even snowing a bit
Tonight the social group meets at a local microbrewery for a trivia night
Will get into the upper 50s today
