Kingwood and possibly CyFair have a Spring start program, I believe. Regardless, a score of 11.0 is borderline as far as admissions go. A couple of years ago, you'd easily be in, but nowadays 10.9-11.2 has been the cutoff depending on how many people apply. It's definitely worthwhile to try.
The best thing to do is sit down with an advisor at your first choice campus. They will tell you honestly what you need to do. What class you could reconsider taking. Also If you don't get in for the spring you will have to retake the hesi test which could raise your score. Good luck! Hang in there. We have all been there before.
well, it all depends on which campus you want to get into. North harris accepts the most with 110 this fall 08 semester, I was able to get accepted recently after being on the alternative list, I had about a 10.98, but this can vary with each year because it depends on the applicants and what points they have.
The other locations (cy-fair, kingwood, montgomery, tomball) accept no more than 50 each, if not less! meaning their point cutoff can be more at an 11.4 or higher.
But like others have said here, if you can wait until January to apply @ North harris, then use the fall to better your points, like get an A in the 3 classes they use, A&P1, psycology, and Eng 1, and finish the other pre-reqs so that you can get the most points from having completed them, and then just do really good in the reading section of the HESI in January.
