Trying to get into lpn school

Published

Ok, I am soooo upset!! I applied for the lpn program for January 2015 I went to the meeting & turned in all of my stuff. Welll, they called and told me I had the wrong math score so they said I'll be able to attend the August 2015 program as long as I get the correct math score so I went ahead and told them to keep all of my stuff for the next semester. I passed the math (thank God) and turned in the score unfortunately it's a new woman over the lpn program so she made us do interviews which is something we didn't have to do at first she said we'll get a letter in the mail if we're accepted I did not get my letter I was devistated. and she said she can only admit 20 people per class which is also something the other woman did not do. I was wondering should I go have a meeting with her telling her how I was on the waiting list since January?

Well if someone else took over the program & redid it there's really nothing you can do. If interviews are one of the requirements & they only admitted 20 students then you have to apply again next time.

Good luck.

Although that is disappointing, if she is over the program it is her call. Re-apply, and if there are any other programs in the area, apply there too. If you have to do an interview I would suggest practicing with friends. Go do volunteer work (so you stand out and have something to talk about in the interview)

and do not give the same cliche answers as everyone else will be doing. If she got rid of the wait list, you are going to have to get in based on merits. The school I applied to doesnt have a wait list and one has to apply every semester to get in. I wish you only the best of luck, and do not give up hope.

They must have revamped the way they did the program. Brush up on your interview skills and prepare for the next interview.
