i have a question about 2 step TB testing.if i get positive ppd result after the first shot, do i still need to get the second one?
To be honest please call Truman to double check. I heard (from last year student who was TB positive) if you were positive, you need xray too. I am sorry that you have through this but as long as you follow Truman's policy you will be fine.
Yes an e-mail was sent out recommending pharmacology 103 for the summer. Its a short (4) four week class. The class deals mostly with the Math of Pharm. Most nursing students take the Pharmacology 104 class which starts today. Last time I checked there was (1) one opening left. This class has always been recommended in the past and goes into much more detail. In fact the book that we will be using is the same one stated in our package " text books" that we all have to buy for the fall. Pharmacology and the Nursing process by (Lilley, ect).

Thinktank451,
could you please mention when this email was sent out. I've taken a pharm class already, but I'm still curious. Thanks in advance.
Hi chicagonurse2b I got your private message but since I haven't posted 15 times yet I can't send private messages (website rules) Yes I will tell you if anything comes up regarding the study groups. Would it be ok if you give me your email because I can't send private messages right now? And no I'm not taking pharm this summer. How is the class? And I was at Truman yesterday for financial aid matters. :)
For anyone who needs CPR certification: I checked a few different websites, including Red Cross and American Heart Association, but I found the best "deal" at chicagocprnow.com. The BLS Healthcare Provider CPR class is only $50 and has this description:
"This is the most common kind of CPR certification needed by Healthcare Professionals. We will be going over Adult, Child and Infant CPR, Choking, AED and Bag Valve Masks. We will be showing you how to perform 1 and 2 rescuer CPR in the healthcare setting. You will receive your AHA CPR card at the end of class and it will remain valid for 2 years. 3 hour course"
Some of the other classes I found were more expensive and 7 hours or longer. Hope this helps you guys!
