Hi everyone!
This is so exciting! I'm so glad we have this thread going! :)
Katybeto, I would be looking at the 6:00pm class too. I'm going to try to keep my job through atleast the first semester (for the insurance and tuition reimbursement). However, I work at RUSH, and it's hard to get all the way up to Truman any earlier than 5:30pm.
Does anyone know how this works? Is it first come, first serve for the day/night courses?

cpsomer,
I read in another thread that orientation and registration are first come, first serve. Hopefully, they will send acceptance letters soon to shed some light.
Yes, I've heard that before too -- that they're first come, first serve. Hmm.
Well, I thought this was somewhat strange. I responded to the email from Dr. Gurney on Thurs, May 5 to confirm my seat in the program. I didn't get any response, so I just assumed it was all good. Just now, I sent an email to Dr. Gurney asking if they know when exactly the Truman College Orientation would be, or if we should wait for our letters to find out. I noted how excited I am to start the program at the end and thanked for her time. She wrote back very quickly and just said "Confirmed!" It doesn't say anything else about the orientation. Did all of you receive emails from her reconfirming your spot in the program? I just thought that was kind of weird. I know today is the last day to confirm your seat, or it will be given to someone else.
It should be fine. Considering the amount of time it has taken for them just to send the original emails, Dr. Gurney is probably swamped and responded in haste. I'm not going to worry about the email anymore. I have my printout of when I sent confirmation. At this point I just want the letter. I will follow-up within a week. Unless someone posts something about receiving something sooner.

So no one else got an email back saying "confirmed?" I never received one. This makes me paranoid!
What a coincidence! Literally minutes after posting this I got an email from Dr Gurney saying, "confirmed!" I'm sure it will take her awhile to send out confirmations, just as it took quite a while to get all the original emails out... thats a lot of emails! Cpsomer- glad to hear we will (hopefully!) be in the same class! Sorry for the amount of "!'s" in this email... I'm just still really excited :redbeathe
Good luck students!!!! Though I am not at Truman, I just finished my first semester at Chicago State...... One word different. Try to find some books and study material over the summer. Read as much as you can and start taking practice test if possible. Here is a link to the companion site of my textbook. Click on chapters which you can read and then do the NCLE review questions on the side bar. http://wps.prenhall.com/chet_kozier_fundamentals_8/61/15675/4012970.cw/index.html
I wish someone would have told me. Good LUCK!
Here is one for patho if you need that also
