We are going Traveling Nursing northern California in April, need to get some idea of how much the take home pay will be currently(Before we start talking to the recruiter)? And because we are considering getting an RV/Motor Home for traveling, wondering if anyone knows how much the RV park will cost around that area? Is it difficult to get a reservation at the RV Park? We both are specialized in ICU/NeroICU/CVICU. Any information you have will be very helpful to us. Any traveling company recommandation?

Interesting that there is recruiter name dropping on this thread and it has not been edited out. Usually it is a no go.....

It is a no go but a moderator will either have to spot it (I've seen names removed months later) or someone has to report it. That little yellow triangle with the exclamation point on it is how to report a post (at the bottom of each post). I don't think moderators have time to read all threads and they depend on community reports. I don't care about recruiter names as long as there is no fishing for referral bonuses but I understand the need for the policy to avoid pushing lines.

A recruiter made three overt recruiting posts complete with phone numbers recently and I did report that. But since she recruited specifically for a rare specialty, I did save her agency name in case someone asks which agency for case management. Part of my job as this forum's semi-official obnoxious know-it-all. ;-)

You are correct, it is against the Terms of Service to post names and identifiers (agencies, etc).

These have been removed.

Thank you for your cooperation.

My first job was in northern CA. Petaluma Valley, Santa Rosa Memorial, Novato Community hospital, Marin General Hospital, all great places to work! Not sure where you are thinking but these would be my first choices. I worked at Marin general as an NA and Novato Community for my preceptorship, and Petaluma Valley as a new grad. Did a rotation at Santa Rosa Memorial. The pay is high in northern CA.

I work in southern CA now. Moved to southern CA via MED STAFF, and worked with them for 2 years. Now I work for a hospital.

Considering moving to WA now and traveling again.

Hello @Maxona,

I am new to the site. Would you mind sending me a PM with the agency and recruiter you have been using in NorCal. THanks!

You need 15 posts before you can use private messages. Maxona can post the name of her agency here.
