Is it possible to do travel nursing with children? I have a 2 year old. He will be 3.5 when I graduate.

Well, if you haven't graduated yet, you need to know that travel nursing is for experienced nurses only. You need generally a minimum of 2 years experience in a specialty for which travel nurses are needed. So your child would then be school aged. That might affect your decision when the time comes.

Yes, I was aware I needed at least 2 years experience.... I didn't make that clear in my post. Since he will be school aged, is it possible to travel with children that are school aged?

If you homeschool or do some type of online schooling I guess it's possible. I don't see how you would do it otherwise. Would you like to switch schools every 13 weeks, which is what a typical travel assignment is like?

Most of my friends who did travel with kids waited until they were in junior high and then did online school. Unless you can get an assignment that lasts an entire school year you may have to homeschool.

Do you have a partner who will travel with you? Otherwise arranging childcare at a distant location may present a real obstacle to travel.
