Can Anyone who has been a travel nurse and had a positive experience with it let me know of what they enjoyed about it and what agency to go with?
Also, I use EPIC in my current position. Am I able to be that specific in my request to stay with a hospital that uses the software I am trained in? Can you visit the unit and assess the morale and team work before being placed at a hospital?
I am just trying to find out if it's a journey I want to embark on. Thank you for your feedback!
this was a very interesting and educational conversation. i am interested to hear how it is going now, a few months later. i am currently getting all my ducks in a row with two agencies. i am trying to find my vaccination records and paperwork like that to get faxed over. i am nervous that when it comes down to it, i wont be able to find a job, but my recruiter said to not be worried about it. thank goodness for this website, it makes me feel alot better.
As it turns out, I finally got through to the California board in mid July. After explaining my situation, they reviewed my app & apologized for making a mistake. Needless to say, they have been handling a heavy volume of apps & had hired extra help. The new person made the error. My English Comp class was sufficient. Whew! I now have my Ca. license. Would like to relocate to Irvine/Mission Viejo area. Any feedback? Anyone currently working in Southern Cal?

It sounds like if you take the class, you will be licensed. If you are seriously concerned that your class will not meet the requirements, try calling a CA nursing school and asking for the recommended syllabus.
