  1. Thats awesome Sean!! Good advice that Rxwoman gave you. Be careful. I dont have any experience as a travel nurse but I was interested at one time & they didnt stop calling for weeks. Decided it wasn`t for me at this time. After reading some remarks about experience with some companies, such as not holding up to promises, I decided if I were to become serious I would need to do alot of research! Try Better Business Bureau? RXwoman; Thank you for info. Want to move to SOCAL though, have family there.
  2. Iv`e also been through your frustration!! I applied April 4 & after waiting 2+ months, I received a letter stating I needed oral communications! After several phone calls & leaving msgs, I finally got through to lady that was assigned to my app. She apologized stating that they had hired extra help to process apps & that person had made a mistake. In mid July, I received my license. Our house has been on the market since Aug. 1. We really wanted to be in California before winter. (Live in Iowa). Just wanted to say that your license will come with perseverance!! Good luck in Cal & hang in there!!! Where are you moving too? We plan to relocate to So. Cal (Irvine, Laguna Hills). Do you know of any specific places that are good to work for?

As it turns out, I finally got through to the California board in mid July. After explaining my situation, they reviewed my app & apologized for making a mistake. Needless to say, they have been handling a heavy volume of apps & had hired extra help. The new person made the error. My English Comp class was sufficient. Whew! I now have my Ca. license. Would like to relocate to Irvine/Mission Viejo area. Any feedback? Anyone currently working in Southern Cal?

Thank you for responding! No, they did not state I needed to obtain credits verbatim. QUOTE: Your transcript does not reflect completion of Oral Communications. They have given me 1 year to complete and then my application will be considered abandoned if no response. I have attempted to call several times, got through once, then got voicemail upon transfer to right dept, was instructed to leave name, etc & stated would return my call in 2-5 business days. I also emailed, its now been 2 weeks. Still nothing. I just need to know which class I should take here in Iowa that would be sufficient.. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Want to get this class done asap. -

Hi, Im Trying To Obtain My California license. I currently practice in Iowa. After sending everything they required, they finally responded 60 days later. They stated that my transcript lacked Oral Communications. Does anyone know if it matters which Speech class (assuming thats what they mean). Anyone else had this problem applying in a state that is not a compact state? I have continuously tryed contacting the Board of CALIFORNIA but had to leave msg. No one has contacted me. Its been 2 weeks..
