Hi, I have been travel nursing for abt 9 yrs and would like to experience traveling in Canada.I am looking for advice as to how easy or difficult this would be.Since I did not take the NCLEX,but the NLN in 1981 would I have to sit the CRNE? This is the question that is unclear to me.Any help or clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on the province but be prepared they may expect you to sit CRNE but you will need to ask them because you will be required to register with them to get a job,

I believe you would need a license for the province you wish to work in and that would require passing the CRNE and having your BSN.You would need to contact the province you select for licensure to find out for sure. One of my coworkers has an American cousin that wanted to do travel nursing in Canada but they wouldn't let her because she didn't have her BSN.
Thanks, I will keep the forum posted as to what I find out as to help anyone else thinking of the same thing.

Depending on the province, they might "grandfather" the OP.
But it's a very costly, time-consuming thing getting to work up here.
Exam fees, permit fee, notary fees.
There's a reason most of us don't hold mutiple practice permits, the yearly renewal fees.
