Hey johnson0424,

I started travelling after being a NP for 10 months. Currently on my first assignment and loving it! So with travelling you can be an independent contractor 1099 or be a w2 employee. I am a w2 employee not a 1099. Still exploring the travel np thing... still new to this but i have made friends where i am at within 2 weeks of being in my assignment.

Companies I think are ok include staff care, advanced practice, rhino, Barton

There are others but these are the ones I have worked with or have talked to about jobs.

Wow thank u so much! Yes I have looked into 1099 and I don't think I am ready to pay all those taxes - what company are u with?

I'm with comphealth, but there are others too. I met this one NP and we were working together for flu clinics but his assignment ended before mine and he is now in wyoming but he is also a W2 employee but for aureus medical. It was his first assignment too and we use each other as references and we send each other pics of places we've been at the our assignments and we tell each other if that is a good place/assignment or not that way we keep a tally and we know which places are good.
