Updated:   Published

hi everyone! just wondering if anybody has any info on traveling for periods of time to europe as an lvn... I love to travel and I think it would be amazing! any info would help! thanks! :nurse:

I got my work permit and i was thanking the lord, i know its been hard to get a work permit nowadays, but its god will to be destined in that place and and use somebody to help you.:nono:

There's no harm in trying....

There is a saying: ":Try and try until you succeed..."

I'm curious about one thing (and I'm asking this only to clear up my own confusion): Two different people on this thread have said that LPN licensure is not accepted for work abroad, and I know that LPNs cannot get permits to come to the US to work; and I've seen lots of other threads on this board where people have stated that no country accpts LPN licensure from other countries. But I notice that your profile says that you are an LPN, and you say you're going to London to work. Is the information I've seen incorrect?

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

I too am interested on how people get a license in the UK as this is written to what they will not accept application if a second level nurse, EN, LPN etc Full list on specific requirements and what NMC will not accept on page 7 on this link and we no longer train enrolled nurses and haven't done for many years

NMC requirements when trained overseas and not in the EU

Search Dept of Defense for government/civilian/military nursing positions available anywhere there is a US military installation such as: Aviano Italy; Ramstein, Landstuhl Germany; etc.

Yes, there are LPN/LVN positions at these locations, whether any are available at this time I do not know. Qualifies as a US Gov't job with attendant benefits.
