TCRN - Trauma Certified Registered Nurse
How is everyone planning to study for this? Any recommendations on study material?

There is an online TCRN course by Jeff Solheim on MED-ED Seminars. The videos within this self paced course along with the content outline that you can print out was way worth the price! Highly recommended. Not a question on the exam that I didn’t remember seeing on the study guide.

Hey everyone. I’ve been working as a critical care nurse for a bit over a year now and would like to start working towards adding to my credentials. Is starting with the TCRN a bad idea? I’ve been reading over the thread and the Jeff Solheim review course seems to be the most popular, but on facebook I’ve seen people talking about the Pam Bartley review program. Not sure which I should go with. Any tips or suggestions?

Hello,
I can’t speak to Pam Bartley’s review program but I can tell you after taking the CEN and TCRN (passing both) shortly after completing each of Jeff Solheim’s review courses online, I won’t be picking up any other review courses when sitting for my CFRN. 100% worth the $ with Jeff.

A little late but I had TNCC + ITLS 8 months before, read the society’s red book, and listened to a few of Solheim’s TCRN (I think a month pass) lectures. The year before I did study the whatever surface and air book for the CTRN and had solheim’s CEN lectures (free from work). So those may have helped me.

I used PDB Education - Pam Bartley has a great prep for the TCRN. Passed it in 2016 and re-cert this year.
