transfer of NCLEXresult

hello everyone! nice to be here again...

i would like to ask something about nclex result to be transferred. my nclex result will be on its third year without me having a ssn yet ,,,well, firstly, because i am still in the philippines due to...my first agency was denied of its application and then,,the retrogression came...

now..the immigration bill is not on its foot yet..i am still in the philippines and there is a danger of losing the validity of my nclex result. as i have read... from this thread.....

ssn is required for the renewal. failure to renew does not necessarily mean that you will re-take nclex. i think the license, if not renewed, will become inactive and cannot be used.

before allowing a renewal, the bon may require that a refresher program be completed by nurses who have been away from nursing practice for some time. sometimes, a new background check and fingerprint check can be required by the bon. these entail expenses and payment of fees.

so...can anyone tell me how to and where to transfer my nclex results to another state and throw my worries away??? i just cannot go to the u>s> and have a ssn yet...help!!!

You just have your results submitted to the new state, they are not transferred as they will remain in your file that you have with CA BRN until that file is destroyed.

Hi! I am getting worried about my situation. My Ca application will expire on Jan 20... I have sent my request to transfer my test score to vermont on Dec 13. How would I know if they have granted my request? After Jan 20 will they automatically destroy my file? I tried calling them but they were already closed, I will try calling then again tom.

were you able to call them to check them out? maybe, it's because of the holiday but i do hope office hours has resumed again by now.

i have some great news to share! i was supposed to send my personal letter of request for an extension to ca bon or( any option they could consider for me) today thru ems, but when i checked my email, voila! the secretary of my lawyer have sent me the letter of extension for one more year sent by ca bon. (i've told them my predicament 2nd week of dec.)

she sent me the complete letter of the ca bon thru email so i would personally see it. i'm so glad!

i am hoping to apply to vt and sent everything today, including the verification of license to vt but this was great news to me..at least i feel quite relieved...

i also wrote to vt and asked them something almost 2 wks ago, and they haven't responded until today as well. maybe, ca bon will be open again by now...

anyways, for some info about vt, sandy swenson of vt bon responded me thru email this: no we do not need your school documents if you have the cgfns certificate. just attach a photo copy of the cg certificate, copy of your nursing license to the application and fee and that’s all we need to process your application.

If you are going to call them again, try and ask for the 1 year extension that some are reporting about as well. Wouldn't hurt and you can do both (1 year extension plus sending the test result to another State) anyway.
