Training on Dialysis

I want to attend a training program on dialysis treatments.

Where can I train?

Which one offers the best training?

How much is the program fee?

How long is the training?

I've been looking on the website of National Kidney and Transplant Institute but can't find any info about it. If you can refer training centers and their contact numbers, I would highly appreciate them.

Thank you as always.

It is expensive. My friend underwent if for P8000 for 2 months. For her, she just wanted to keep her hands busy while waiting for the results of the local NLE.

To those who are already here in the U.S. the HD training costs around $2,000.

These dialysis companies are also under the cap for the H1-B visas. Visa petitions for the H1-B are only accepted in April for a start the following October. One of the requirements for the H1-B is that the nurse is a specialist, if you have no experience as a dialysis nurse, then you do not meet the requirement for the H1-B visa to start with.

These visas are currently being reevaluated by the US government and all that have been issued are being reviewed.

Chances of getting one of the 65,000 HJ1-B visas is going to be quite small. Suggest that you do some reading here as to what is going on with the H1-B visas.

joy, may i know the name of your agency that sponsors H1B Visa?...any input is greatlly appreciated.

Philippine Kidney Dialysis Foundation. 5 weeks training. Fee ranges from 10 to 11k php, I guess. Plus you have a very high chance of getting hired if you applied and have the BLS, IVT and ACLS.

Please take the time to do some reading here. Chances of getting hired and brought to the US are actually quite slim now as well. The retrogression is now 2 years old this Friday. Any agency or employer needs to pay 100% of the fees and cannot charge any of it to the nurse either beforehand or during the time that they are working for them. Spending $7000 US to bring a nurse here and understanding that chances of them getting the H1-B are going to be quite slim. What an agency did in the past is most definitely not what is happening now, and once again, they need to prove that they could not find an American for the job.

Not sure what you are not understanding, but dialysis companies are not under the non-cap visas for the H1-B. Applications can only be submitted in April for an October date. The H1-b visas are currently being investigated by the US government as many went to people that did not meet the requirements for one. They also require that one is a specialist in their field, getting training and then coming to the US does not make one a specialist; actually far from it as training will be done again in the US.

The US is also in a bad financial mess, and any company is going to need to prove that they were unable to hire an American, and this is not going to work for most positions at this time.

A graduate is that, a graduate. They are not considered a Registered Nurse until they take and pass a licensing exam. You cannot be accepted for any training program if you do not hold a license to practice.

ACLS actually does not require a nursing license; it is taken by paramedics, respiratory therapists, etc. But it does require a permit to do be able to do something. And a diploma from a school does not give you any rights to anything.
