What type of school did you attend/are you attending? Is it a trade school, adult education program, community college, state university, high school based program, private (for profit) college, or some other institution I haven't mentioned? How did/are you liking it?

I attended Casa Loma College back in '04 and '05. It was a private trade school with a hefty tuition. While I felt a few things were left to be desired, the program helped me achieve my goals of licensure and working as an LVN.

The tend to base the fees on 9-12 months of the starting salary you'll get once you graduate. So in LA thats $30,000 in tuition with the expectation that you'll break even in about 9 months (or less)

hi.....stephanieee

you mentioned you are doing a written exam for rockland boces. i was considering applying here are well. do you have to do any other testing to get accepted here? thank you in advance.

Yes, I can see New York being more expensive. I am just shocked at the price of 3k. We do have out of pocket expenses as well, but I don't think it's more than 2k total. So, I'll be paying about 10k.

I did look at some schools that are 16k for the 10 month LPN program, but our Vo Tech is great. It has a very good pass rate. I do think that the Vo Tech's should have a standard fee but, I do understand to why college's charge differently. Some may disagree, but sometimes you can get a better education in smaller schools. I'm just happy to be able to have a chance to become a nurse. I can't not wait to get my RN. I just want to take care of people. =)

whats the name of the school, please
