How is your tpa supplied? I was always taught you should never use smaller than a 10 ml syringe on a PICC(May cause rupture), but our tpa comes often in a 3 ml syringe. Should it be transferred before using?

I guess I'm still confused at how she got brought up in this thread. I went back and re-read the whole thread and don't see her quoted or referenced anywhere until the "she's not an expert/yes she is" posts.

The issue of whether or not using a 10cc syringe is a legal standard of care came up, a standard of care legally speaking refers to a practice that has overwhelming agreement were not practicing the standard is considered negligence, so it was pointed out there are 'experts' who disagree, including Lynn Hadaway who is sort of a one person practice organization.
