Who's applying? I'm so nervous!

I'm glad someone started conversation about Towson Spring 2015! I sent in my application for the Hagerstown campus yesterday and I litterally just got home from taking the teas for the first time... it wasn't as bad as the practice test. :)

@bsn-hope, the practice test you mentioned before... was it the ATI practice test? (Which one? Form A or B? Or does it not matter?)

@hellojoe that'd be great if you got a scholarship from Towson! If you did, though, would that be your final choice?

@littlemango I only took the ati online practice A. I scored a 76.7 on that. I found another forum thing on here where everyone compared their ati practice test scores to their actual teasv scores and they all agreed that the practice tests were harder and they scored better on the actual teas. I figured if that was true then I'd be able to get an 80 on the actual teas. I ended up getting an 86.7, which surprised me! As for differences between the two practice options- it doesn't seem like one is easier or harder than the other, just more variability to study and more money for ati to make haha

great news guys! I retook and got an 86 on my TEAS ?

Are you all transferring in from community colleges?

I currently attend Towson.

@jennyxyz now that's a competitive score! ;) congrats! It was worth retaking

@secquoria I'm a CCBC Essex student and if I did get accepted, I'd be relocating to Hagerstown

congrats jennyxyz, how did you study to get a better score, am retaking mine next 2weeks, i hope to get a competitive score aswell

@bsn-hope thanks!! It definitely was. But now my pockets are hurting ?

@jenny1love I took it the first time just to get a feel of the exam because I honestly did not know how to study for it. I just looked over my study manual. After I received my first score I looked at what my weaknesses were and zoned in on studying those. So much so that I didn't study my strengths. Had I studied my strengths I believe I would've gotten higher. I used the ATI study guide which was really helpful because most of what was on the exam was covered in that book. The only thing I would add is that you should research whatever topic that you're having trouble with thoroughly because the study manual tended to only show one aspect of the problem and when asked a question that was similar to the topic it was hard to understand what was being asked simply by what the book taught me.

Good luck on your Exam! And I hope we all get in guys!

@bsn-hope that's definitely true! I got a 67.3 on the online practice test and then a 79.3 when I first took it. It is definitely harder than the actual test

I'm getting close to panic mode here. They said the application to the university would be available Aug. 1, but I can't find it on the Towson website! It also looks like they won't accept CLEP credits. Does anyone have insight on either of these issues? Thanks!

@afowler77 I was told by someone at Brook's office a couple of weeks ago that it will be available mid-August, so perhaps it's just not up yet? I'm not sure, though!

The Admissions office told me Aug. 1, and on the main Towson page, it says, "Spring 2015 application now available." I'll just keep checking often. In the meantime, it may be a moot point if they won't accept my CLEP credits for English! (I passed and FCC accepted it.)
