Is anyone enrolled in the DNP program at Touro University Nevada? I would like to know what you think of the program. Is it doable if you work full time? Do you receive adequate faculty support?Any and all information would be appreciated. I am looking for a DNP program that can be completed exclusively online in a short amount of time.]Touro Universities DNP degree can be completed in as little as 12 months according to the information posted online.

Can one only be an educator for this program? I've emailed the school, but haven't received a reply.
The program has an indirect care focused DNP with a heavy emphasis on leadership in nursing education. The admission requirements are a MSN with a 3.0+ GPA and an unrestricted RN license. The program is regionally accredited but not nationally accredited. American Sentinel University has the same type program that is nationally but not regionally accredited. Case Western has an educator focused DNP that is both regionally and nationally accredited. I know ASU and Case both have the NFLP program a well which pays for about 85% of your tuition. Not sure about Touro.
Thanks for the response! I'm looking at ASU as well, but am very concerned about the practical experiences and finding a preceptor. My current environment is one where I supervised nurses in a non-clinical setting, but I have the ability to influence and develop policy. This seems to make finding a program challenging...
Hi Mary! I remember you from the WGU program! If you have a moment would you mind updating your experience? I am seriously looking into this program but feel like I am flying blind as I hadn't heard of this University. Of course I also hadn't heard of WGU and that was the absolute best choice I could have made! Thank you in advance!

Thanks so much for the info. I am just wrapping up my WGU MSN this summer (One of the few finishing the old MSN program). I've decided to go the PMHNP route but then want to complete a terminal degree. Touro's DNP looks like a good program and now with the info you provided I could probably complete it in a year too. I'm stoked that I found a couple PMHNP programs where I could still travel during completing then and now a DNP program too!
