Hi guys!
I recently applied to the BSN program at Touro in Brooklyn. I searched on here for a threat for them but the most recent one is still from a few years ago.
Does anyone have any information about the program? Are there any grads on here or anyone else that applied?
I already have a BS Bio degree and I'm hoping I get accepted into their program, but I'm skeptical because there seems to be so little information on it.
Thanks!

Hey!
I'm applying to this program as well with a previous BS in bio. It says the priority deadline is April 1st, do you know if they'll be looking at applications after that date or its on a rolling basis? I'm also hoping to get into this program because majority of the BSN programs apps have closed up for the fall start and I'm really looking to start in the fall
-also, do you mind sharing your credentials? i have a low GPA in my BS hoping that wont affect my admission bc i do have a lot of the nursing pre-reqs with high grades
Hi nursing.mk,
My BS GPA isn't that high, honestly. But I have As in all pre-reqs except for one B. I got a 124 on the NLN. I believe it is rolling admissions?
What is your BS GPA?
I don't think Touro is that competitive when it comes it GPA because they don't have a minimum and they do take the NLN into account. A lot of students are coming from high school, too. Are you applying to the AAS/BS or just BS?
I'm applying to the BS program! I spoke to someone at admissions today, they said that if we are transferring in with a BS in Bio we could potentially start as 3rd year nursing students. He did say theres about 35 seats for each of the nursing programs so I dont know how they'll be ranking which students to accept/deny.
I have a 2.6 gpa from my degree granting school and my pre-reqs are all A's. The person I spoke to said that they dont really look at pre-reqs because this is designed for first time freshman students. Maybe having strong grades in pre-reqs will make us strong applicants? I'm not sure. But the deadline to apply is April 1st and they start reviewing applications after that. I'm looking to submit this by next week.
How was the NLN? Did you study for it/what exactly is on the test? and, do you know what grades they are looking for in that exam?

Heyoo,
I just got accepted for the Fall 2018 program. Wanted to know what the program is like for you guys who are in it now. i'm currently waiting for them to let me know what my placement will be in the program, if you guys have any insight on that as well that would help. Also, do you guys commute or house off campus. I live in New Jersey so definitely looking into off campus housing and if there's any advice on that.
Thank you!

the nln exam was kinda tricky. tbh i didn't know i was registeered for the nln exam until the day before so i crammed just physics cause that was the only thing that i was nervous about since i never took a physics course and i managed to get a 137 on the test. I would focus on science, vocab, and reading comp. Math was very straight forward but science was pretty hard and vocab there was a lot of words i didn't know.
