tourist visa

Published

Hello! I am getting married this may. My husband-to-be is a businessman and had been in the US frequently as a tourist.. But his multiple entry visa is now expired and he needs to reapply because one of his cousins in the US will be getting married this june. He told me that maybe I can go with him and have our honeymoon there instead. But of course I am skeptic about the whole idea since I am already an NCLEX passer. I am thinking that I might ruin his application and be denied because of me. As much as i want to go, i don't want to be the cause of his problems.

Does anybody here can advise me if we will be encountering problems in the embassy or at the port of entry? I know, there are stories that the embassy don't give tourist visas to nclex passers. Is that really true? We don't plan on over staying because he can only afford a couple of weeks off from work since nobody will take over the business. Plus, I am enrolling in a medicine school this june since I know that retrogression will only put me back. So I might as well push through with medicine as planned.

I hope someone here can enligthen me. If, by chance, I will truly ruin my fiance's application, I would not go with him..

I did some research in this website but i cant see a topic similar to my case. thanks!

Passing of the NCLEX exam is not a reason to deny a visa. But be aware that they are getting tighter on those that they will issue a visa to now for the tourist visa as many have not returned home with it.

Best of luck on your wedding.

Suzanne, thank you so much for all ur efforts in answering our questions. And also to all the staff and moderators of allnurses.com. You just don't know how you guys help us nurses here in the Philippines about the simplest to complex situations we're into.

By reviewing threads here, I gain much information more than my agency can spare.

Thanks again and more power!

Thank you for such a lovely note.:wink2::nurse:
