  1. Suzanne, thank you so much for all ur efforts in answering our questions. And also to all the staff and moderators of allnurses.com. You just don't know how you guys help us nurses here in the Philippines about the simplest to complex situations we're into. By reviewing threads here, I gain much information more than my agency can spare. Thanks again and more power!
  2. Hello! I am getting married this may. My husband-to-be is a businessman and had been in the US frequently as a tourist.. But his multiple entry visa is now expired and he needs to reapply because one of his cousins in the US will be getting married this june. He told me that maybe I can go with him and have our honeymoon there instead. But of course I am skeptic about the whole idea since I am already an NCLEX passer. I am thinking that I might ruin his application and be denied because of me. As much as i want to go, i don't want to be the cause of his problems. Does anybody here can advise me if we will be encountering problems in the embassy or at the port of entry? I know, there are stories that the embassy don't give tourist visas to nclex passers. Is that really true? We don't plan on over staying because he can only afford a couple of weeks off from work since nobody will take over the business. Plus, I am enrolling in a medicine school this june since I know that retrogression will only put me back. So I might as well push through with medicine as planned. I hope someone here can enligthen me. If, by chance, I will truly ruin my fiance's application, I would not go with him.. I did some research in this website but i cant see a topic similar to my case. thanks!
  3. hello u guys! i just had my results and i passed!:wink2: im ecstatic and so happy! :redpinkhe but when i read the letter, it says that i need to get my SSN first to activate my license or something of that sort or the application expires within 3 years. what do they mean by that? do i apply for SSN again after 3years of not having it or will i need to take the exam again? thare is a quite a long wait if you're coming from the philippines because of retrogression and i am pretty sure, it would take me more than 3years of waiting. help! i dont know know what do i think. i dont know if i should be worried or not. do i need to? thanks and more power to allnurses.com:yeah:
  4. manila testing center can seat 90 examinees. that is quite a number compared to HK which can only sit 30 examiness. everyday, some candidates re-schedule their exam date. especially when the date is getting closer. what i did, i paid to get my ATT, reviewed real hard, then when i was ready to take the exam in 2-3 weeks, i paid the sitting fee. and i got the date i wanted. usually, when u check the dates u really like, sometimes, its all booked. its better to check it everyday. even twice or 3x a day. those examinees often change their mind a lot, u know. eventually, you will have a date u wanted. trust me, u can have a schedule here in the philippines without worrying much about scheduling.
  5. Hello...I took my exam last jan31 and I got 265. Well, it was my second take and the first try, I took 75 items. I had my exam outside the US territory, coz one thing, Im a foreign nurse. I am so fidgety because I still dont know what happened to my 2nd take. If Im not mistaken, it will arrive next week. I dont wanna repeat the whole experience again for the 3rd time. Basically, I dont think I can handle another heartache again. While I was looking around at this website, I found out that if you dont have your results yet, you can search the state board of registered nursing and try looking at the license verification. I checked my name, and its not there.. Well, i tried my friend's name who already passed Nclex-rn but, his name is not there too. What gives? Is it because we are foreign nurses? Is it because we dont have our SS number? i kinda felt bad when I saw that my name wasnt there. But its weird that my friend's name wasnt there too. Help... Sorry for the long story... I dont know the answer since I am a foreign nurse. thank you so much.
