Torrance Memorial new grad

Hello ? looking for more information and insight on the Torrance Memorial New Grad program. Those that have started or gone through this program, how has your experience been?

Can someone who has worked there or is still working there share their thought about this hospital please.

Oh no I'm so sorry to hear that ? I haven't gotten any calls or email yet. May I ask which department did you interview/hear back from?

I got rejected from PCU and telemetry.

Any updates? I havent not received anything from HR yet ?

I also received rejection emails yesterday from the units I interviewed for (tele and ED)

They also renewed postings for PCU in their career page. I'm hoping they will re-consider us.

Thanks for the update and I am sorry to hear that. I am sure you will land much better job ? Do you feel comfortable sharing if your interviews were scheduled or one of the open house interview?

Im sharing the same pain here too. Im starting to look at outpatient clinics right now.

Just reached out to HR and asked about my status. They said I am still in the loop and I was like... what is that supposed to be mean haha. But apparently it seems to me that they are still in the process of making selections. So if you have not heard back anything yet, you still have a chance... at least that's what HR told me just now.

No worries! Thankfully I've been applying and interviewing elsewhere too and have accepted a position in a different hospital much closer to me. I interviewed both at the open house. Got a second interview for ED over zoom but I guess that didn't guarantee my position which is fine.

Hey! Congrats for receiving that job offer! That is so exciting and I am super happy for you! 

I also have been actively interviewing with other hospitals in Northern California and I am hoping that I can hear some good news by next week? Apparently, those hospitals that are a bit far from my residence tend to like me more than the local hospitals. Strange but will gladly take any offers! haha.

I had a scheduled interview with Med/Surg prior to open house but I decided to take the interview spot for Burn ICU instead which I should have just went to the Med/Surg. I had conflicting interview schedule with Stanford Med/Surg on that day and I had to give up the interview spot for med/surg from Torrance Memorial. 

Overall, it could been better but I do not have any regrets although I got rejected from Stanford. Good experience. But currently I am moving forward with UCSF and the outcome of final interview is still pending ?
