Torrance Memorial New Grad Program Aug 2016

I just wanted to start a thread for Torrance Memorial's Residency. I recently applied. Has anyone heard anything yet?

I know that one was a med/surg manager, and the other was a CNS of a lot of units. The third I don't remember tbh haha! When I was called for the interview, they told me that I would be interviewed by 3 or 4 managers for med/surg, so if they told you that you'd only be meeting with the one manager I think that may be the case. Yeah the clinical questions were pretty basic, and if I missed something they would kind of give me a prompting until I answered it fully :)

Ohh I see!! Ahh good to know! My friend said the same thing where they'd hint for you to go the direction they wanted the answer to go lol which eases the stress a bit. Good luck to you! Did they tell you when you would hear by?

Thanks! You too :) I should know by the end of next week! This week is all interviews and then they make their decisions the following weeks

Ahh okay sounds good! Oh also wanted to ask what did they ask for at the panel interview in terms of documents? The recruiter just said certifications and RN license but I would assume we would have to bring a resume and cover letter. I asked her and she said no. Just wanted to make sure

Bring your resume, two letters of rec (one from a clinical instructor and the other a personal reference), copies of your BLS card (and ACLS or PALS if you have them), official transcripts (or unofficial if you don't have it), and a copy of your license if you do have it. I just got my RN license so I brought my printout from Breeze and they took it!

Nothing here! I was told by Friday.

They told us different. They said in the next few weeks Cus they're debating starting the program later than expected because a lot of people haven't gotten their license due to the board being backed up. What units did you guys interview for?

Mother/baby! Does anyone know stats for the program? I know they can accept 40 max but anyone know how many they accept for each unit?
