Starting a thread for the Fall 2025 cohort! Applications posted sometime last night I think (?)- here are the units that are accepting applications!

-5 East (PCU)

-5North (MedSurg)

-6West (MedSurg/Ortho)

-7West (Onc)

- MedSurg/Tele Float Pool

-Transitional Care Unit

-Mother Baby

I would take the offer because you are not guaranteed another offer somewhere else (especially being that many hospitals are/have canceled their residencies, thus making it more competitive) 

You can always leave the hospital/unit after a year and transfer somewhere as a clinical nurse 2

The only issue with that is it's not considered acute since it's outpatient ... so I'm afraid I won't be considered a "new grad" if I try and apply for a floor position once my year with dialysis is up- if it was a acute / hospital position for dialysis I wouldn't even question it .. I would take it ! I just don't want to get stuck in dialysis long term .. since ICU is my goal.

After any nursing job, after ~6mo you're not considered a new grad. If you're okay waiting for an ICU/hospital position offer knowing it's very competitive then decline your dialysis position. It's okay to go for what you truly want 🤍 you also don't wanna be somewhere you're not happy.
