Also want to add that IDK anyone there, was one of the last people in line, & this is my 3rd time attending their job fair.

LOL, so the first time around it wasn't as bad as this time and I got a second interview with TCU. The second time around the turn out was bad but not as full as this weeks and so I interviewed with med surg but never heard back. This time around I was almost 100% I wasn't gonna hear back but I decided to interview with TCU and she recognized me from that first fair attendance and second interview. Really hoping I get it though cause I finished nursing school in 2023 and have not had luck landing a job. I fear it's only getting harder and harder to get into a new grad program.

Maybe the trick it to keep trying the same unit so they see how determined you are ! What kind of questions did they ask you ? I like to ask to keep a library of questions of what I should practice for future interviews .

I got offered a new grad residency for dialysis -‘it's a full year.
I have been trying to get into residency programs since I passed my NCLEX (April 2025)I work for providence in Admin- no patient care. I have access to apply for CNA/ patient assistant positions at providence or any hospital for that matter (I'll be taking a pay cut) would you take the dialysis or try and just get your foot into the hospital for the next pick time residency comes around you already have your foot in the door ?
some insight would be great , I would love to hear your opinions.
I would take the offer, I applied to Providence first time for the February Cohort and didn't get it. I accepted a job offer at another hospital in Feb and during that time I worked, I learned so much more and gained more confidence for the interview. I still applied for the recent residency and got accepted. Having actually nursing experience really made a big difference in the interview for me.

Hi katie congratulations on your offer! Can I dm you some questions? Can you please let us know how your interview went? I need to prepare for next hiring cycle bc I did so bad on the meet&greet. Did med-surg ask any clinical & behavioral qs? They only asked me "tell me about yourself". I wouls truly appreciate any advice/tips bc I've been applying for mnths & have not gotten any interviews please!😭
Hi everyone,
I recently attended the interview event as well. I don't have any connections at Torrance Memorial, as I completed my nursing degree in another state. That evening, I received a phone call for an interview for a Progressive Care position, which was scheduled for today. During my interview, they informed me that they will continue interviewing until next week, so don't lose hope. It seems like they are interviewing candidates slowly, as there were over 400 people at the interview event.
The only interview tip I have is to be yourself. If you have any prior customer service experience, be sure to highlight it! They are not looking for a perfect person, just someone who can handle a diverse group of people with varying moods.
Best of luck!

Hi I was wondering if you are willing to connect. Im commuting a long way (6 hours) for their second interview and was wondering what kind of questions they asked you in your first interview. When I interviewed with them at the job fair, they said it was a meet and greet and that the second one would be a more formal interview. Any advice/tips would be extremely helpful, thank you!
