Hey everybody! So I took my TEAS V today (1/22/16) and scored an 83.3 overall. That places me in the "Advanced" category, in the 93rd percentile nationally, and in the 94th percentile for my program. It's not AS great as I would have liked, but then again it's also far better than what I expected. Anyways, I know my score isn't necessarily anything to write home about, but I know there are people out there who are freaking out just as badly as I was about taking this bloody exam (I was a NERVOUS WRECK), so if I can be of any support or comfort I'd love to answer any questions you may have!
Keshwani on youtube is the best for the math! He helped me score 27/30 on the math and it's my worst subject! There was actually a question on the Teas V like 24323.523 X 620000.0300. I remembered Mr Keshwani telling us to count the decimals to make sure it matches before you even start a problem. Sure enough I looked down at the answer choices and only 1 had 7 decimal places. I didn't even need to attempt the problem! I finished the math portion with 15-20 minutes remaining!
Hey, where can I find that article. I tried to look it up online but nothing came up. I have been studying a lot for the exam, I've watched videos to understand better the science part, I have done tons of exams, I even bought an apps that has a lot of questions, but I keep making stupid mistakes in things that I know and I know it is because I am super nervous, I want to read something that make me feel more confident before the test, which I am taking in two days. wish me luck -crossed fingers-
I am taking my exam this Friday. been studying since January 9th. Did Keshwani, mometrix online, khan academy, bozeman, some crash course (he's too fast). I am finishing up science. did you get questions about tissues, nervous system, etc.. if so where do you think I should focus on these titles? having a hard time narrowing it down since I only have less than 2 days left.
I personally had no questions regarding tissues or nervous system, though I really wish I had! I have to say, there is very minimal human body science on the exam, which is a huge bummer when that's what you know well lol. I had a question regarding hemoglobin, peristalsis (digestion), cranial nerves, and something about platelets. But the majority of my science was scientific reasoning, chemistry, and physics (bleh). I'd say to be safe, know the basics of each system. There will likely be more in depth questions, however you can use your knowledge of the basics to help you out. I wouldn't know how to tell you to study more in depth, because the science is all over the place. But judging based off of what you have done to prepare, you sound like you've done pretty well! Just read each question carefully and rule out the ones that you know are incorrect.
I didn't find that one either, but I highly recommend checking this one out if you haven't already. It is by far the most in depth post I've found regarding the TEAS, and it helped a lot!

I'm the same way. I get so nervous that I make stupid mistakes or read over the questions too fast. But since I am very much aware of that fault, I made a point to NOT do that on this test. I barely paid attention to the time I had, because I knew it would trip me up (and I honestly think there's more than enough time, I finished the test in under 3 hours). I read the questions really closely and worked them out. I was super fortunate in where I took the TEAS though, because I had my very own room with a computer and a desk so I was able to talk out loud (LOL) a little bit if I had to. I know not everyone will have that luxury, so just do your best to reason in your head!
Hello again! I am studying like crazy. I want to let you know how much I LOVE Keshwani. How freakin (his word) funny is he? I had zero clues that I would grow to enjoy his videos so much. I worked on each video for about 30 days. I can't recommend him enough to others afraid of math. Lifesaver!
Back to studying, I go.
EDIT: SORRY!! I just re-read the thread and I already responded!! I am losing it, I tell ya!
LOL the teas will do that to ya! Good luck studying, I promise your sanity will come back once the exam is over yes, anyone who comes across this thread: PLEASE do yourself the ultimate favor and look at Keshwani's vids. You will genuinely learn to enjoy math! Or at least his way of teaching.
[email protected] :) I wish I had PM privileges! Feel free to shoot me an email. (I guess I shouldn't assume you're talking to me, but I am haha)

Hi Sadieb95, Thanks for all the advice. Although I was freaking out when I got to the test and took a little while to calm down. I was clearly worked up but managed to get through it. Well I got 76% overall which is sufficient to qualify for the two colleges I want to apply for. I am so relieved to have this test over. I used my best judgment on the ones I didn't know and the odds worked in my favor. lol
