Is it best to purchase the study material on the ati website or some other materiall? I searched on Amazon last night and seen a few study guides that might be helpful. The last time I took the test was about 4 years ago and at that time my school offered a workshop a week or so prior to the test, but none of the stuff we went over was on the actual test
I studied the McGraw Hill Book. It helped to get me familiarized with the Reading and English portion. However the test questions on those areas are a lot more difficult and intricate. The Science I had on my test was mostly Chemistry and Physics which is a huge bummer since you don't need either for an ADN program. You don't need physics until a MSN program if at all. So, that was a huge shocker. The math was just basic algebra. I wish I would have had the ATI manual. But, I have heard that the ATI doesn't prepare you enough for the Science either. I feel like the Science is a very important part. If they had actually tested me on Anatomy, Physio, and Micro I would have done amazing on Science. I had 1 anatomy question.
I am supposed to take in on the 29th. The school I am applying to said they have the books but when I called they said they were out. My Barnes and Nobles doesnt have it, the library's are all in use and I really can't afford it anyway off the ATI website. I am not nervous at all about the reading portion, just the science and math. What should I expect?
