Took NCLEXRN April 1. Stopped around 80-85

Published

Hello Everyone!!! Took NCLEXRN April 1. Stopped around 80-85 and did the pearson vue trick this afternoon April 2. It let me register. I heard that stopping around 80-85 was a good sign but i guess you can fail at any number. Opinions please. Thanks!

You won't know until your official results come in. No one here can guess what your results are, only your BON knows. Best of luck.

I know since everybody's been getting their results via the PVT. Aww man! I guess I'm retaking this May. Wow what a waste of time. I actually thought that I did pretty well but the BON did up the passing standard on the day I took it. WOW!

Your post is rude and not real helpful to the OP.

stopped at the minimum, and left asking, "So how long do I have to wait until I have to take it again b/c I'm pretty sure I didn't pass."

Needless to say I did pass the first time. I also had to wait for 7 days to get my results online on my BON... All you can do now is bite your fingernails and keep your finger crossed!

Everyone I know that had a test stop in the 80's (myself included) passed the test. The last 10 questions I answered before the test cut off seemed really difficult.

I'm not sure why you would say this? It isn't rude at all. The OP mentioned she had tried the PVT and it had let her registerasked for opinions. The good student gave her opinion..based on the knowledge that that in the vast, vast majority of cases (maybe all if you look at the hundreds of pages of posts in the NCLEX discussion forum)..that getting the re-register screen means you didn't pass. The OP had a sad smiley - knowing it might be bad news. Sharing a solicited opinion related to the topic isn't rude or unhelpful just because it was the possibility of failing.

I'm sure the OP knows the official results come from the BON and not from allnurses..she was just asking opinions while waiting.

You might get more support and info in the NCLEX discussion forum OP...and good luck!

Nash, that's exactly what I thought. After the 75th question it got kinda hard.

I took the NCLEX-RN in 1998. Wow, that makes me feel kinda old. I took it when it was all multiple choice- no fill ins thankfully.

Anyway, I was absolutely horrified when the screen turned off at the lowest question (75). I knew for a fact that I had accidently hit the enter button without answering a question. I thought a pinkie spasm was going keep me from being an RN.:lol2:

I had a rough time in school, so I wasn't super confident even though I'd been studying for a year.

The results came 10 days later and when I saw the letters RN I was so happy I almost peed (sorry, voided) in my pants!

I must have hit the button on one of those fake statistical questions.

THERE IS HOPE!!!!

I won't jinx you on the results, but CONGRATS for getting through nursing school and the NCLEX alive. Not all do, you know.

:yeah:*wine
